Omar is Chief Football Operations Officer at City Football Group overseeing talent management, performance services, and football intelligence for the Group.

If I am not mistaken, he is the next guy after Khaldoon. Above the Spafia.

Heavily involved in City sponsorship since 2010. Difficult for United to make a continuing stink about the ‘115 charges’ having hired someone so heavily involved in that period at City in the very area the PL have claimed was the centre of mass fraud,

Genuinely never heard him mentioned until an hour ago. Looks like a baldy nonce to me, but I’m sure he’s a lovely guy.

About
Omar is Chief Football Operations Officer for City Football Group. He is a C-suite sports executive with expertise in the management of club business and football operations, including player transactions, sponsorship and media rights with 20 years of senior-level experience in the football industry and 5 years in the telecommunications sector. Omar has extensive experience in managing football club operations, through both his time as Manchester City’s COO and his current role as City Football Group‘s Chief Football Operations Officer. He also has a proven track record in negotiating with major global brands and companies, having delivered multi-million-pound sponsorship and media-related contracts for FC Barcelona and Manchester City. Omar’s personal background is quite diverse and international; having lived in 6 different countries with a fluent command of four languages has helped him develop an extensive global network of industry contacts.

For his current role, Omar is responsible for managing and optimising group football operations for almost 100 teams across 11 clubs on 5 continents, managing several departments across CFG including player transactions, data analytics, sports science and scouting in order to develop talent, maximise on-pitch performance and generate value for the group. He has also represented Manchester City and the Group in multiple governing bodies (such as the European Clubs Association and the Women’s Superleague FA board). Before the actual role, Omar was COO for Manchester City Football Club. In this role, he was responsible for all business aspects of the club; reporting to the City Football Group CEO and working in close collaboration with the Football Director in relation to the club’s football operations (including player contracts and transfers).

Prior to this role as COO, Omar was SVP – Group Commercial Director, forming part of the Group’s Executive Leadership Team and reporting to the board on a quarterly basis. His remit included leading the commercial department across the global organisation by overseeing 4 business units: Partnership Sales, Partnership Activation, Retail & Licensing, and Tours. The SVP role focused on creating the vision and building a global commercial department that now has a presence in over 10 cities on 5 continents.

Omar worked at FC Barcelona as the Head of Sponsorship and Senior Media Business Development Manager, during a very successful era for the Catalan club and prior to that, he worked in the telecommunications sector with the companies Tiscali and World Online.Omar is Chief Football Operations Officer for City Football Group.
