Last game for a couple of weeks

Chance to recover ground on the dippers as they play next week

Got a great record v Newcastle of late in the main and with their injury list this is a good time to be playing them

Imagine KDB will start as he will have a good recovery time before the next game. Doku will probably start on the bench

2-0 Alvarez and Foden

I wish I shared your optimism.
This will be tough, I'll be rather grateful.if we come home with a point.
Otnaure we can afford to drop points now either.

dippers were due to go to Dubai for warm weather like us going to Abu, if they play next week they either won't go, or if they do it'll be rushed and not very relaxing.

Today is a must win .

Akanji now out along Stones, hopefully Gvardiol will partner Dias and Ake LB.

A clean sheet win of any kind please.

Reckon you'll win today?

Looks a dodgy fixture on paper, but I think you should have enough to see out a win.

If Rodri starts, we won't lose. Akanji isn't a,great loss and we've been winning without Erling.

Also we have KDB and Doku back too.

I'm not saying it's going to be an easy win at all, I just don't think we'll lose.

Optimistic for a win.

Nervous obviously but I fancy us for sure.

There's only one game we definitely deserved to lose this season

Surprised at no KDB and Doku in. Bench all of a sudden looks decent again

Not surprised Kevin is on the bench after Peps insistence he would be brought back carefully. Grealish was ill this week so Doku starts. Looks like Bernardo on the Right and Foden central. A strong side.

As good as it gets with what's available

Possibly excepting Jack on a good day. Sadly we never know what Jack we will get, at the moment

Kovacic and Rodri will be a double pivot. Might allow Rodri to surge forward from time to time with Kovacic covering. Fancy Rodri to score. Such an important match before the winter break.

Again ? is he ill one week on and one week off ?

I say BS , hes on the bench because hes just not doing what hes capable of doing , ie dropped.

We're getting our squad back to fitness with great options from the bench, whereas Newcastle are really struggling with injuries.

We really should beat them tonight.
