According to an interview he said he has ”Best case a year to live” because of cancer.
Terrible, terrible news.

75 years old. Yes, very sad.
Knew how to pull a bird that chap, though I thought he was a bit of a charlatan as a football manager, to be honest

Hired him on one of those cameo sites to give a video speech to my friends wedding and he was briliant.
Later on I realized he had 4 wives or so and wasn't the right one to talk about marriages, but was funny.
Loved his time with us, beating the rags with that team. He really made miracles.

Poor Sven, very sad.
It ended bad but he was the first manager to bring genuine hope to the club for me, an actual chance that we might be half decent for once.
Away at west ham first game, beating the rags at home thanks to geovanni, top of the league after 5 games, beating the rags at the swamp finally. Elano right back, petrov, finally an attacking team that could beat the top teams. Great times.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very, very sad news.
That first half of his season with us, plus the double over the rags was magical.

Tell that to the Lazio fans.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Was that the Benjani's shoulder miracle?

I think Vassell scoring was the miracle.

Richard Dunne and Micah Richards CB pairing of stoic defenders - so many miracles that day.

Will always love him due to that day alone

Very sad news. Sven was the turning point for us some good bad and signings but he started this era - I thought he was tactically inept at times when his initial strategy didn’t work he never seemed to be be able to change a game or a formation. I liked his dry wit and they way he handled the pressure and double the double and doing Ulrika definitely make him a key part of our story. I would have loved to have seen Elano play in this side I know he couldn’t track back but he could really pass a ball!
Thanks for the memories Sven you won’t be forgotten.
Have you seen my bongos?

I got one off him for motivation for my football team once. We lost and the opposition mocked us for it on their Facebook post. Good times .
Tracking back is overrated.

Very sad indeed.
Heard his interview- cane accrues as brave, humble, pragmatic and calm.
Worth remembering him that way.
Good to see Blues chanting his name at SJP yesterday (saw on FB yesterday).

Liverpool being the horrible creatures they are have made this about them.
Fans have launched a campaign calling for former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson to achieve his "dream" of managing Liverpool Football Club.
Reds supporters have called on the club to allow the 75-year-old Swede to manage a Liverpool Legends home game against Ajax Legends in March.
