I don't think anyone looked knackered at the end and I don't think it was a game that needed tactical subs but what do I know

Can we talk about foden? “generational talent”? consistently inconsistent and underwhelming.

Would you have trusted Fatty or Neves? I wouldn't. I like Bobb, but he is not ready for this fixture yet.

We need to do something we rarely do and that is go and buy one-two players in the winter window.

If you’re suggesting none of those players are good enough to play for Manchester City then that’s your opinion and right.

Sadly that is the case, so I am trying to think Pep was thinking the same.
Do you trust Philips in a game like that? Or Nunes?
I think not., I think he was thinking the same so he prefered tired players.

But he’s bought these players mate. Nunes, Kova, Phillips, Gomez…not good enough.

If we had someone like Palmer on the bench today it would have been a decent option.

Probably a true statement, which leads to the question 'why the fuck not?' We weren't at our best and one or two needed to be pulled. Did we want it bad enough ? Crowd noise died off in the second half. Wasted 2 points for us, as i thought Liverpool didn't offer much and had few chances, most of which were created from us giving away possession

The thing is some can't keep up with his demands, even if they looked good elsewhere.

Saw that shit with Nunez, I think he is slowly starting to get pissed and that is a good thing.

Doku saw plenty of the ball but didn't do much with it. Beat a man and shoot not beat a man, beat a man again and beat a man a th...oh shit there's four men on me now and I've lost it. Had a decent break second half but left it far too long to give it to Alvarez. Foden poor. We still don't look at it. God help the rest when we do.

Foden was playing against a 2nd choice left back and refused to take him on. Alvarez has been off it for a while. We're crying out for Kev but while we're waiting let's have Foden in the central role and Grealish and Doku wide.
Haaland made so many runs today that were ignored.

If Grealish had been available he might well have started ahead of Alvarez who wasn’t at his best and may have suffered from a long trip back from the internationals. Doku didn’t have enough end product but that doesn’t mean he’s suddenly crap. A lot of good play from the likes of Ake Bernardo ( as usual) and Haaland. If Grealish had been available Foden might have played more centrally but that doesn’t excuse a disappointing performance. Again he’s not suddenly crap. Players have off days.

Very surprised by the disallowed goal having looked at it again. Alisson extremely fortunate. If the referee had given it I doubt it would have been overturned by VAR.

If Grealish had been available Pep would have started him ahead of the MOTM, Duko.

I'm a fan of Foden, but have to say he was shite today.

One of the worst decisions of the season. Arteta was crying about Newcastle winner where it was marginal at best. This was a perfectly good goal disallowed for effectively nothing. Then at 2-0 we probably go on to see the game out and collect three points and go four clear of the dippers.

It will be brushed over as if it barely happened unless Pep goes to town on it. Which he won’t. See on Monday on Sky if Dermot Gallagher on RefWatch suggests it was an incorrect decision. My hard earned is on him saying it was the correct decision to rule it out

On balance, perhaps it was a fair result. Disappointing, nit a disaster but a potentially significant setback.
Need to twat the dippers at their gaff.

Anyone caught wearing a scarf with reference to the dippers on one half should be banned for life. I get tourists who aren’t fussed about the result or the teams in general might want one as a souvenir. But any genuine fan who wears one is a disgrace

Agree with this. Why him and Bernie didn’t swap is a surprise. Or why Stones didn’t come on for Alvarez who was very poor thus allowing Bernie to roam further upfront is a mystery to me

Interesting on the Pep Nunes stuff. Can’t be sure but it looked like Pep was friendly and smiling at the beginning and Nunes responds by insulting him in some way. Pep then not pleased.
