Foden and Akanji both giving away possession in danger areas, it's going to cost us if they don't fucking shape up

Jesus, they're all at it giving it away. Great break and they manage to fuck it up there. Alvarez poor again. Fancy Liverpool will get one back here.

They are winning the midfield battle, which is a surprise. Both Doku and Alvarez keep losing the ball in dangerous positions, which leaves us open for breaks.

Sadly, this was a game for Grealish, but he's not awake.
Hopefully the Barnsley king is coming up soon.

Alvarez is non-existent, in a role that doesn't exist. Ridiculous to do this. I just don't see the value. Alvarez is a striker, a good one, but not a lot else.

I'd look to put Lewis in the pocket to the left of Foden.

Anyone concerned that we don't seem to make many good tackles?

Difficult game and one bit of class sees us in front. Dippers adopted the Chelsea tactic over the overly high press, in numbers, which has caught us out a couple of times. Overall, we’ve weathered the storm but with their half-time inhalers, there’ll be full of legs for the start of the second half.

Would like to us go a bit more direct, over/around/through their press as we’ve had some joy when we’ve turned them.

Sadly ? are some of you for real ?

We are winning 1-0 and it should have been 2 or 3 if Alvarez and Foden were on their game ............They shit their pants when Doku has the ball and hes been dangerous all game.

Also , we are at HOME and its not a game to hold the fuckign ball up so Liverpool don't score , its a game whereby we attack and attack....FFS!!

Disagree with the Alvarez comment. Today is not his best so far. One of a few that are giving away possession and whose touch isn't up to usual standard. Foden, Akanji, Walker, Ederson have all been clumsy at times. Doku doing well against his fullback and they are having to double up against him which frees up space. Alvarez is a great little forward , normally has a superb touch, but he is also a great provider up front and is tireless in running down the ball. Hopefully he will come good. Foden is playing below par as well. Silva needs to start bossing this game and the groundsman needs to turn on the fucking sprinklers
