Glaring mistakes from Dias, Gvardiol, Walker, Rodri, Bernardo, Ederson.
No glaring mistakes from Akanji today, that's for sure.
Wtf has Walker suddenly become free kick specialist, took one last week. Hopefully this one's his last.
Brilliant by Haaland today, starting moves on the halfway line and running his bollocks off to be on the end of it in the box.
Nice little cameo from Kova as well.

I know Akanji fanbase will argue his case, we didn't concede against the rags with Stones and Dias in middle combo.

As a defensive unit, in big games, Akanji goes missing and I think this is why Dias becomes more irrational. Akanji lacks leadership and commandship of his area. He isn't great at playing Stones or Dias roles.

Had Stones or even Ake played in the middle instead, do you really think would have conceded 4??

I said this last season many times, Dias and Stones partnership is paramount to our success.

Akanji was in midfield today. We played three at the back. You can't blame Akanji for Dias being very poor today and recently.

Dias needs to rethink what he does. He gave the penalty away because he wasn't defending properly.

I know you're Akanji fanboy and he can do no wrong in your eyes.
Dias can carry us, Akanji can't, that's the difference. Dias had a stinker, you could say bad form, all top defenders go through that. He'll come good, hopefully Stones can stay fit and Akanji can be gap filler

please get this out of your head.

I'll say it again to you ... for how many weeks now ? i am not an Akanji fanboy. He is an average player, but he certainly was not the problem today.

i was going crazy with our defending, but and its a big but, the 4th goal [ pen] came about because foden lost the ball near the chelsea pen area then we let chelsea run with ball and not 1 player went to the ball, but plat as bad as this defending and we might not get anything against liverpool

Back 4 or three works as a unit not individuals. If by all accounts they all had a stinker and Akanji had a great game, then something isn't right.
I have an issue with Pep playing in all important big games, just don't think he's naturally gifted as the others. Nothing personal, I want what's best for City not individual players.

Think we should have had grealish on for Doku from the off, Doku coming on late for new legs. Also would've rested Alvarez today and had Lewis in midfield. Chelsea are nothing but runners but they're effective at it and we've got fuck all pace outside of walker at the back. Josko full of errors today but he will come good. He wasn't the only one though.

Still, regardless of Chelsea's troubles over the past year, to go there and score four yet still come away pissed off is a good thing. More composure from us and we would've seen that out. You could see at half time that was a game that needed a 2 goal cushion for either them or us to see it out but the brain farts continued and here we are. Great game to watch I suppose.

Are you saying he had no role to play in our defence? Drop back and offer protection? Stones role??

Also immensely annoyed that Palmer is a shit house who didn't want to try his luck with city. Fair play to him though, he's making a name for himself.

Also happy for sterling, he terrified walker. He played like he was prime city raz.

We got an exciting draw against an in-form team away from home. Top of the league, let’s enjoy it so early in the season.

Cole Palmer was booked for Chelsea after trying to scuff the penalty spot prior to Manchester City star Erling Haaland taking his penalty

Predicted we'd win easily today, disappointed we didn't tbh, they were there for the taking after we went one up.

I think all here agree that our defence today was generally bad and Pep should have done something to fix it. At 4-3 with the game coming to the end, he should have closed it down. Rico was on the bench and he stayed there !! He should have come on for anyone even Halland to help the defence. A young player with loads of talent and fresh legs could have contributed a lot and arguably he would have been there tracking Broja in the penalty incident. Alas that did not happen.

Still a draw away and still top of the league, so I suppose we shouldn’t complain a lot.

Personally I'm far more satisfactorily entertained by a 4 nil win.

But I'll take an away point :D
