Anything other than a job well done is going to be very churlish. Disappointing to concede, but still a healthy addition to the GD

Assuming Haaland isn’t hurt it’s been a rather successful afternoon

Back to the top of the league, it’s up to the others to show their mettle now

Every goal counts, Arsenal now have to win by 5 to go top.

All about mentality.

Indeed my friend

One of the reasons I like clean sheets. It sends the message that we are impregnable and teams will set out to simply minimise the beating. When we concede goals it gives hope to the opponents

But I guess all that really matters is 3 points, which were collected with relative ease and with a CL game coming up is no bad thing

Just checked there, no city player has ever had 4 premier league assists until now.

Take a bow son and at 21 years of age as well

I thought it could be a first for the lad, fantastic effort.

Just watching his interview after the game. Comes across as as very articulate young man especially as English isn’t his first language

Youngest player to get 4 assists in a game

We have another diamond on our hands here

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola speaking to BBC Match of the Day:

"We didn't expect the way they played with five at the back. We scored in the right moments, second half they started better than us. Man to man they were aggressive, when a team is losing 3-0 and they go to man to man and go for it I have a lot of respect for that."

On Jeremy Doku: "He's settled so quick. It's not just today all the games he played he's played really good. We are really pleased.

On Bernardo Silva: "He is an extraordinary player, he made two great goals. The action from the second goal looks like Messi, Messi has done that many times. Everyone is so happy to have him here."

On Erling Haaland injury: "Twist in the ankle, we didn't want to take risks with him he didn't feel comfortable. He'll be back maybe Tuesday but maybe next Sunday."

Funny. The people on the TV were telling me that Bournemouth would play like that

He’d also probably manage it in a conversation about the best sex his wife has ever had

Not bad at all, mate. They scored after our multiple sub’s, which I could take with the score as it was.

Like you say, onwards is where we look, let the rest prove that they are worthy.

Can't help but think what damage Jerry would have done if he got more time in the derby.
He's absolutely class.

I reckon that if Jack wants a game they’ll have to find him a new position.

+1
Especially against teams we "know" we should beat easily...

I think he can fill the Gundo shaped hole in the middle

Kova is a worry.
Nunes is a worry.

Grealish was brilliant last week against the rags. Very short memories.

Any reason why Grealish on the left, Doku on the right and Foden, Bernardo and Rodri in the middle wouldn’t work? Keeps shite like Kovacic on the bench.

Doku’s start shows we’ve replaced Mahrez. Not sure we’ve replaced Gundogan though.

Disagree that Kov is shite, just working back to what he was pre injury. He has had some good games for us. Nunes shows some glimpses, Phillips hasn't stepped up at all (IMO) and Gomez when fit hardly gets a place on the bench.
Jack needs to score otherwise he will be eclipsed

Jack’s game isn’t about scoring. Pep wants him to keep the ball to give other players chance to get into good positions and, usually, drag two defenders to him leaving space in behind.

He would have had the same amount of assists against YB as Doku yesterday if Haaland had his shooting boots on.
