There was certainly no need for the bollocking on the pitch walking off at halftime against Burnley. Haaland was telling Bern he should have played him and he was right.

Seems like without Kev there’s no service to Haaland and for that reason we should have focused on a playmaker and not Nunes at the end of the window. We were happy to drop £90m on Rice but not someone like Wirtz?

Should have gone for Maddison. He's looking great in a better team like Spuds, imagine how he'd look in ours

I was going to say his attitude might have put us off - but then we signed Nunes who’d thrown a fit to force the move.

Pointed that also.
Haaland has no one who can feed him once Kevin got injured, Gundo went and Jackie is still drunk.

That's it in a nutshell.

He had one or two games where he could have scored a hatful but the rest he's been starved.

It's a goal or nothing with him. He is a passenger for large swathes of a match but if he scores then its job done. But if he doesn't score then his productivity us called into question

However, in addition, he is usually heavily marked which does create space for team mates. That they haven't been able to take advantage of these situations is not on him, it's on the coaching staff for not drilling it into the other 10 players.

He clearly has forged a special relationship with KDB and undoubtedly is missing him. But KDBs star is on the wane and we need to get used to him not playing every week and this includes Haaland. I rather think he and Doku will link up nicely as well once they've played together a while.

Every striker goes through lean spells and those at the top usually come out of them sooner rather than later

Why the f did we go for nunes over a playmaker? Insanity

Our style and pace of play dictates whether Haaland is productive. He's scored countless goals no matter which club he has played for. Slow build up play, waiting for an opening tippy tappy football doesn't help Haaland and most teams can defend against it Our team is playing to instruction so I would largely agree that Pep has gelded our stallion. However we've played that way for most of our games and Haaland has scored with or without Kev playing, so has the team gone off the boil or has Haaland? In my mind,Haaland seemed to ease off once he'd got the Prem goal record, don't know whether the stats back that up and although we've got off to a great start this season, we aren't firing on all cylinders and we are out of one cup.

Haaland is a big boy, let’s drop the excuses he has missed sitters for him. We have created less chances without KDB, he should have double what he’s scored. It’s second season and Kev out, but he’s got to do more himself he’ll know that.

Saliva tried to neuter him with this blatant red unpunished. You can’t barge someone like that unless you’re within reasonable playing distance of the ball.

Nah, Haaland does that to other players constantly. He has to be harder there. A bit embarrassing he got put on his arse and I hope he’s shown that video.

When the ball’s there to be played it’s fair enough. The ball was nowhere near. It was a foul.

Haaland does it all the time without the ball there, to get that extra yard.

He has to be stronger there. That’s his game.

Agreed, thought it deserved punishment but equally Kovetic was lucky not to see red

The service to him is crap. Having said that he does look off it a little with the some of the chances he does get. So it's probably a bit of both.

What we need to do is to considerably improve the final ball to him. He is an out and out finisher who needs to be fed. He's not going to dribble and dance past 3 defenders and make his own chances. He's physcially not that type of man.

It's up to Pep to sort our play out and he will. Just a pity this international break is coming up. Such a nuisance.

I spotted that it was Cancelo that pinged the ball to him for that ridiculous goal against Dortmund last season.

We need more balls like that to him, ones that catch the defenders on their heels.

Unfortunately our tippy tappy build up is slow, snail pace. Just need to move the ball faster and put more variations to our attack. We could utilise his pace, our movement is slow it gives the opposition defenders time to adjust and mark him accordingly. When Rodders comes back into the fold, we'll move the ball faster, his pin point long balls that split defences are so underared. Defensively and going forward, he's the pivot to all of it. Of course, when KDB comes back, we'll be potent going forward.
