Phillips + Nunes= nearly 100m

Should have invested it on someone like Wirtz

Sure, some could've played better.
4 league titles on the trot is asking a lot.

A lot of sense there and it’s been a really difficult few years where the team have stepped up. But thinking that we’re done after one game is a bit premature. So many star players missing will always take its toll but I expect them to dig in once again and be fighting for the title.

Quite simply a fucking embarrassment. Wolves helped by their 12th man all match and we didn't help ourselves by being far too slow at moving the ball.
I cannot understand how he kept Ake at left back when he was being torn a new arsehole by Neto.

100000% we should have spent the Rice money on Wirtz

Good point you make there.

We have a good first 11 after that Players who are not quality.

Philips should have been fucked off before this season started. The fact he was happy to sit on the Bench and steal a living for another season should have made us more determined to get rid ASAP.

Early Days for Nunes i know, but i am not impressed thus far, comes cross as a bit of a light weight mard arse who can be bullied off the Ball.

Kovacic isnt too bad as cover, but thats about it

We saw today that Foden still lacks consistency, can not be depended on for it.Quality player but badly inconsistent.

Pep knew we didn't have Rodri for 3 games..That we would have to negotiate these games without our most influential talisman.Rather than deal with this only.He decides ti fuck about with the defense again making the problem bigger than it needed to be ffs.

I hope to fuck he just plays the best 11 at Arsenal .

Or we wont jus be defeated it could be as bad as that Everton away debacle early in his Reign.

This might not be popular. But does Haaland deserv a start when he offers nothing if there is zero service to him.Seems a waste of a player to me.We might as well change our style go back to a False 9.

Just looked at the stats, Wolves had one shot on target all game, plus the own goal of course.

When Stones comes back, Akanji should ho straight to bench and remain back up

Walker........Stones.....Dias.......Gv

No tinkering, that's your first back 4

In my view Gvardiol should have played. Ake struggled against their pace all match. Doku tries a lot and therefore loses the ball more plus Grealish offers far more defensive cover.

On the positives i thought Oscar Bobb looked good.

The Kid put himself about and gets stuck in.

Going to be a good player this lad as he matures in to a Man.

Agree on Wirtz, but he didn't want to leave due to the Euros.
We will be in for him next summer.

some on here are reading way too much into this defeat

Kovacic had a very poor game , so too Dias , .

Even the cross for their second goal was deflected by Ake , any other time blocked.

Unless we are winning by a large margin, philips should not even get a look in .

Unless Nūnes got a knock first time he should not have been changed.

Foden is becoming a nice to have, disappears in the game.

If we had won today, it would've been our best start to a league campaign since the 19th century, so not all too shabby. We do look leggy, but we have a lot of senior players out, so I expect things to get better when Pep can rotate more without a big drop in quality.

Philips is obviously not the answer, but he's also being used as some general scape goat. Kova lost the ball countless of times in very dangerous positions today and contributed very little going forward. Nunes didn't set the world on fire either. Philips didn't grab the game by the scruff of the neck when he came on, but he didn't do worse than those two (and please watch the second goal from several angles, if you want to blame him for it). I also remember a decent cross that actually found Haaland (one of the few today), so he wasn't totally useless.

For me Ake's lack of pace was a huge problem today. If he's at left back, Akanji (who is rapid) really needs to help cover him at counters.

Up front we were way to static and Erling basically became a waste of space since he was marked too hard, and since we didn't have enough movement to create spaces for him. Maybe this was a game for a false nine approach, but honestly, we lack players to pull that off right now (Pep isn't gonna bench Haaland for Bobb).

bellingham is bellend but would have suited us down to the ground. why do we always give up so easily on our first choice in the transfer market?

Just tried to watch the highlights on Sky and the woman screaming and the guy calling Neto “world class” made me turn it straight off.

What a shit game.

Id love to know why we stopped playing with a right winger this season? Its like we just ignore rhat side of the pitch and its up to walker to be our attacking threat there while been his usual defensive rock. Its madness. Why not have bobb hog the touchline one side and doku the other? We did it for last 5 mins but badly miss
Mahrez.

Also if anyone wants a reason why rodri should win balon dor last year, last two games are prime examples. The only player irreplaceable in our team. Everyone else can be replaced.

Least dippers and rags lost….

Just got back from the game. Very few positives today, a midfield without Kev, Bernardo and Rodders creates nothing.. I don't think they score their 2nd with Rodri playing. Ake was getting murdered by their winger, Gvardial should have come on. Worst Kova has played for us and Foden was shocking.. Bobb was the only plus for me
