Younger, bigger and faster - better? Probably not.

He’s a different type of player to Paqueta. Pep thinks he’s great. Have a bit of faith. One poster earlier complained we were buying a ‘couple of Croats’. Didn’t turn out too bad. FFS.

Pep once said Kolarov was one of the best.

He also said Redmond was class.

That was me, not meant perjoratively at all - simply at that time more than two signings were needed given the departures. Doku & Nunes will fit the bill for sure - hopefully another one too! ;)

Didn’t train with the squad today and hasn’t been training with Wolves. Zero chance of playing a part tomorrow I should think.

ceremonial seat on the bench - it's either him or Scott Carson or empty anyway

Very underwhelmed by this I must say. However, the proof is on the pitch, so as with any signing can’t really be properly judged until he’s had a good few months if not a year or so playing for us.

Wish him well obviously and let’s see what he is about and can do

I can't remember seeing him at all. But the club have done pretty well in this sort of thing.

Txiki didn’t sign that lot did he? I think we’ve done pretty well over the last few years. De Bruyne’s injury meant a rapid change of plan. Then we lost a player through the gambling stuff so we had to act even more quickly. The Club seem to want Nunes to play deep so Rodri gets cover but also Kovacic can play further forward. If we’d signed Eze for £80 million what would happen after Kevin came back? Not easy.

Yeah, he joined us in 2012.

I think we’ve been brilliant in the transfer market as a whole. But we do drop the odd fuck up. I forgot to add Mendy to that list as well

Jaysus Bony was yonks ago, was Txiki in them?
Recruitment has been excellent last few years, it’s set us apart from our rivals. But in fairness, the last few years we’ve had a settled side where we’re able to focus on upgrades. Back in the Bony days it was just getting bodies in, at inflated prices. We’re in the stratosphere now compared to wher we were then
