Erling was top scorer in Europe, got a Premier League record and helped his club to a fairly decent season.
Travesty if it's anyone else.

+1
I saw something, but have no idea if it's real or not, Ally McCoist said exactly this, but they will milk it and give it to Messi.

It's not about football. It's about politics and money.

Messi is a name that has been marketable for just about every parasitic entity that earns its £Bns from football globally.
His usefulness is coming to an end but the new generation hasn't quite filled the financial gap yet,
Football is defined by by what is saleable,,,,I think this will be Messi's last hurrah.
The kids are coming through.

He doesn't even hide the fact that he bum licks Barcelona and Messi at any given moment.

If he was loyal to his own fuckign players he would have had the balls to say Haaland deserves it and the reason is obvious ( you don't get to share the fuckign trophy so get off the fence PeP and push one player forward , which is Haaland !!!)

Great manager but disloyal to his record breaking goal scorer.

Unreal.

Unreal.

He tipped Haaland for the award and said Haaland should win it .
He then joked there should one Ballon D'or for Messi and one for everyone else.
Dead disloyal.

Cheesy pushing the “Pep said they should both win it”. Surely not Cheesy isn’t spouting shit?

Pep, “Messi’s worst season is everyone’s best” 16 goals and 16 assists last season for Messi…..

His actual words......

Guardiola said: "Haaland should win - Yes. We
won the treble and he scored 50 million
goals."
Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi is viewed as
a major rival to Haaland in the running for the
top individual accolade in world football.
Messi is a seven-time Ballon d'Or winner and
played a key role in Argentina's success at
the 2022 World Cup while still a Paris
St-Germain player.
Guardiola, who managed Messi at Barcelona,
believes the 36-year-old deserves his own
category.

Its obvious to anyone with half a brain who Guardiola 'really' wanted to win it.....At least he doesn't hide his love for anything Messi and anything Barca - Ill give him that much.

Alvarez was the stand out Striker for Argentina in the World Cup. Messi didn't break sweat. He deserves nothing . Sorry he is too old and has been very poor for more than one season.

Didn’t Argentine lose their first game and Alvarez didn’t play, then he started the second game onwards and they won every game?

Yes. Julian came in and did the work of two men. Allowing messi to stroll around the place.
Essentially Julian was the difference to that team.

See Madrid are supposedly sniffing round Alvarez. They can fuck off. I'd honestly keep him over Haaland. Obviously don't want Haaland to go but if it was a choice that only one could be kept, I'd keep Alvarez. He's got the lot and I think will eventually replace KDB

Agree 100%
I’ve always backed Alvarez even though some on this site didn’t ! He’s far and away a much better footballer than Haaland.
