The new season is upon us
Tough opening fixture. Away at a promoted club first up is never easy as they are usually still on a high. That said, we are the Treble winners and overwhelming favourites to keep hold of the PL trophy.
Tight game we win 2-1
Haaland and a debut goal for Gvardiol

I think it will be tough too. There's always at least one of the promoted teams that come flying out of the starting blocks. I reckon it will be Burnley this year. They're at home, have nothing to lose, have longer preparation and will be well up for it.
I think it'll be a hard fought 2-1 win. Stones and Kev to score for us.

Indeed
Would actually sooner face the dippers away first up
Might catch them cold and it’s a free hit as we usually get fuck all there

Surprised Gvardiol isn’t starting. Dias out as a precaution but why Stones too? Looks like we’re resting one or two for the Super Cup. I’m dreading the Newcastle match after a ridiculously short interval.

That back line scares me
Think we'll concede here so will need our shooting boots on

Stones is injured. Would certainly been on the bench otherwise.

Grealish on the bench is significant - he hasn't been hitting his straps and has paid the price to accommodate Alvarez (who's not been setting the woods on fire either
)
