The referee should have given it never mind VAR.

Gary ONeill says John Moss of PGMOL admitted to him it was a clear and obvious error and VAR should have given a penalty.

Nothing changes.
Commentators gobsmacked at the decision
Wolves manager post match said he initially thought their keeper tried knock his player's head off and when he saw the replay it showed the same thing - stonewall penalty - but he was told that VAR tried not to interfere with the referee's onfield decisions.
.

Isn't that the whole point of VAR?

This.

Has there been a team that they’ve had to apologise more for when it comes to incorrect decisions?

Easily the worst was when Pedro Mendes scored from the halfway line and Carroll pulled it out the net and the ref played on

Or, is there a team that has benefitted more from these decisions?

One game for them to work on last night in their new £ multi million HQ with 30 cameras and big Howard on the floor calling the shots. With this result - utter destruction of all credibility in one act of blatant match fixing. Webb should resign immediately but they may as well abandon the whole cheating circus it's a sick joke.

It's been happening with the rags consistently for so long now, certainly for my entire lifetime, that it's almost become a tradition.

VAR's just another tool to be used.

And just to add, it's yet another admission by the officials that they were wrong, and how it won't happen again, all of course after they've made sure the rags get three points.

Just like gashford's offside not interfering with play.

I suppose the only saving grace is that after spending all that money and having the officials in their pockets for all this time, the rags still aren't relevant.
