It involves a recording of a conversation between the match day referee and VAR official at a recent away match, a recording that is now in the hands of City.
It's my firm belief that City have compiled a dossier so incendiary, that the Premier League will have no choice but to totally exonerate the Club of any wrongdoing. If they don't, this is going nuclear. Either way, we hold all the cards and this explains why we're so bullish about the eventual outcome. The Premier League are on the back foot, and in my opinion, are currently lobbying the membership as to how best to quietly end the process. I have also been advised that at least one of the "Nasty 9" has had board level discussions with City, distancing themselves from the others in the cabal.
Pep's press conference tells us all we need to know. Watch it again, look at the anger and barely controllable rage in the mans eyes. His attitude wasn't based upon him being reassured about some poxy finances & bullshit charges, it was because he KNOWS exactly what is coming.

Why is it important if one of the hateful 9 distances itself from the other 8?
It is the PL who brought these 100 odd charges against City and some of the hateful 8 are not in the PL now or have new owners.

The TV commentators/director/truck at the game definitely have an audio feed from VAR for every PL game, that they can/do listen to. It's why they know before we do what the decision is going to be. It's usually on pot 4 on the comms box. -)
They don't have a feed from the refs in the PL, that goes straight to VAR alone, although I know for a fact that comms can/do listen to Refs or TMO in Rugby (both codes).
There are 2 VAR/Hawkeye trucks which are onsite at each PL game which receive a feed from the Hawkeye cameras which are installed/calibrated in every PL ground, hence why no VAR anywhere else.
I think, but not certain, that the VT operators for VAR are at Stockley Park and will use the feed from the Hawkeye cameras to use. I'd be surprised if it was the PGMOL members doing the operating. They can talk to them to agree the freeze frame etc but I'd say it's the VT op who finds the freeze frame and then VAR put the lines on, but again I'm not sure but can find out.
I believe VAR can also access images from the other match cameras covering the game but I'm fairly sure those VT replays/feeds etc will be from the VT Ops in the main TV Scanner which is at the game transmitting the show, which is also in the car park.
But the Hawkeye trucks do not get a feed of any commentary at all. Remember there are more commentators there than Sky/BT, so the comms feeds go to their own trucks or remote studios. The "World Feed" which everyone gets supplied from the TV Scanner has only images and crowd/pitch fx.
They put their own comms/interviews etc on top of that. This is why you get different audio balance on different channels. UK productions mainly focus on fx from the game/pitch/sound of the ball. The Sound Supervisor who mixes the show, literally follows the ball around and fades up the mics nearby. Hence why the crowd fx sometimes get lost, esp if it's at the other end of the pitch.
Other broadcasters, esp the US, just turn up the fx and use a compressor to turn that level down when the commentators speak. When they go quiet the fx noise goes back up. Sometimes quickly sometimes slowly, depending on the setting they've chosen. Quite annoying when you spot it.
VAR may get sound fx but I doubt it as it's pretty useless for slow-mos. But they obviously are in communication with the ref(s).
How do I know this? I work in Sound for Outside Broadcast companies at sports events...
