Hyprocrites

I forced myself to listen to 12 minutes on Sky re the Qatari bid for MU.
Total positivity. Some sheikh, not connected to the Qatar rulers, not connected to PSG owners, a lifelong MU fan, wants to buy MU. He is going to setup the 92Foundation (class of) as well
Basically he has promised to do what Mansoor has done for City. No debt, not profit driven, youth policy, OT revamp, new training facilities, redevelopment of the local area, women's team, heavy investment in all MU teams, any profits go into the 92Foundation, everyone welcome (regardless of sexual preference), etc...
Sound familiar?
No negativity at all. For ex, when very gently asked 'would anybody have concerns' answer was 'they might, but everyone is welcome at the club LGBTQ, etc...' , 'The owner will pass any test of character because he was on the board of SwissBank and owns some Qatari bank', etc....
A quick google shows he owns a big Qatar bank, the chief investor in the Bank is the Qatar head honcho who happens to own PSG. No connection there then
Basically this guy is being lauded for proposing to do exactly what Mansoor did for us. The only difference is that Mansoor was villified for the same thing.
Not one mention of: state owned, sports washing,
grass roots, human rights, migrant workers, bribes for WC, etc...
Sickening.

Yes Herr Klopp you Hypocrite ! You encouraged fans to go and Party in Paris even without tickets ! Idiot.

Re Rags bid , Stock price has speculatively risen in the last couple of months. So normally a bid of less than 2 bill would seem reasonable.

I hope the Qataris know how to shaft the Rags owners.

I’ve been straight on to a mate that used to talk about City being “state owned”. Funnily enough he’s gone quiet….weird that.

I really forgot the idea of sportsmanship, or fair play when it comes to football, to respect the opponents when they are better.

That doesn't exist for me anymore.
I hate them with passion.

So, this Sheikh that's not connected to the Qatari rulers......journalists, eh!
The name alone should give a hint - Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani. The ruler is Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani
A 2 minute search on Google proved the opposite to me. He is the son of the former Emir, older brother of the current Emir, was heir apparent to his dad before he abdicated his position in favour of his younger brother as he had no interest in being Emir.
So, no connection, then. Lying twats!

It's all part of the agenda, mate.
I am certain Jamie from Bury will never search to see if it's true and will take it for granted because "They said it on Sky, it must be true".

Oh I know that. I was just pointing out how biased the reporting is. I've not yet found a national publication that points these facts out...can't think why that would be. :o

PS, if anyone does spot an accurate report, put a link on. I'd be interested to read a factual insight for a change. I'll not hold my breath...

Dunphy is in his 70s, played for Millwall and is a typical Irish Dipper fan. He tries to be fair and balanced but his bias always wins out.
First off he has never once acknowledged the favored treatment Liverpool and MU get in football matches (he ignores it). He has debated if Floop's Liverpool team is the greatest Liverpool team ever! So that is where he is coming from.
In his world football Royalty is Liverpool and MU, followed by Arsenal and Spurs. He does not have a problem with Chelsea's new found riches either.
The rest of the PL is really only there to make up the numbers while Royalty battle it out. Royalty is allowed to spend more than everyone else because that is the natural order. BTW Real Madrid and Barca are a magnificent clubs and seemingly their spending is also ok.
Minimum 80% of Irish PL fans follow either Liverpool or MU. Passionately, even though they have zero connection to either of the two Cities or to England. Try work that one out.
Dunphy is a product of this environment, surrounded by it every day. He is a decent skin but his bias distorts his view.

You don’t need to be Einstein to understand that the human rights bashing for City was not actually about human rights but about an excuse to actually bash City.

There’s never been any condemnation of United for their Saudi links, nor any bashing of Arsenal for their UAE and Rwanda links.

It’s been a long time since I listened to the media and took any real note, I just peruse to see which side of the coin that they are influencing on any given date.
