Throw him into a mediocre squad and he would have been forgotten.
I think we should have tried and get Maddison. He is a type of Pep player.
Maddison isn't fit to lace Foden's boots and is no way a Pep player. He's a luxury player who is being made to look good as the Spurs team is being built around him (Fair play to him he's been very successful this season). He doesn't have the work rate the other way to be a Pep player.
Why do you think that?
Maddison looks like a decent orchestrator, something we are missing at the moment. Not saying he is a world beater, but a decent player who can work under Pep. Same as Gundo, who became a monster under Pep. Plus he knows the league, Englishman, so he can fit that spot.
When the going got tough at Leicester he missed a lot of games with niggling injuries. I don't think he'd mentally handle the demands of Pep and don';t tihnk he works hard enough without the ball.
Just an opinion. I do however hope he continues his current form for England and stays fit for the euros
Foden had a bad game, Maddison is a yoyo form, not consistent throughout a season. he doesn't fit top team's systems hence only spurs were in for him.
Foden just needs to bulk up a bit and grow a pair. David Silva was tiny but hardly ever gave the ball away although that wasnt the case when he joined us, He had to bulk up too, Foden could learn a thing or two. I remember many were calling for Gundogan's head before he came good.
I wouldn't swap Foden for Maddison, no chance, although he needs to start showing aggression, shield the ball more by using his upper body, he does look a bit camp when brushed aside
This 100%.

Not really. The goal - was that a miss hit into the ground? - and the cross bar masked a lot of dross, really.
If only he could be consistent

Interesting comment from pep when saying he felt phil was playing his best ever football.
"If he can keep stability in his private life..."
There must be/have been some issues there, be it lifestyle or relationship problems but hopefully whatever it is, he's out the other side of it and we're going to see him at full pelt for a long time

No reason to bring up his personal life in public, now Phil seems to have got it under control. Could have probably said that directly to Phil rather than get the rag tops gossiping now.

As Mase says , you don't bring peoples personal life up FFS !! I know you don't have it in you to criticize PeP but this is out of fuckign order.
And before you start , I always give pep Kudos where Kudos are warranted but I also don't wear blinkers like you do when it comes to slating him for things like this ( and please ,the fuckign match thread rants do not count)

will your brain not allow yourself to make a comment on him that’s negative? Or do you think he walks on water?
Absolutely amazed that you thought making a comment on a City forum that no one would have an opinion on it.

Yep, totally agree, all he's done now is set the scum that is the press off to sniff out some shit on another of our players. It's bad enough that Walker can't keep it in his pants.

I do think he walks on water, yes. I think he's a god amongst men.
Pretty sure a lot of us do
And when I said I'll be devastated when he leaves and you laughed... it made no difference.
I'll be as upset as the rags all were when bacon left

Yes I do give him Kudos when he does something special , like use his subs (
) that he whined about wanting 5 as his players were being' killed' playing so many minutes!!
Most fuck ups this season have been down to his shit line ups and thats not even fuckign debatable , constantly playing shit performing players is his fault and ONLY his fault.
You have never ever , that I can recall , slated him for any of those reasons whereas just about EVERYONE on this site has.

If you caught him shagging your Mrs and you’d say he slipped and wasn’t his fault .
