Very interesting...
So they are appealing against an independent commission's findings and written explanation for why klopp got a measly fine instead of a nailed on ban?

Read the report on BBC and it seemed like the FA were trying to get Klopp off of the fine. Had to then search around to find out it was because they believe he deserves a ban.

Thanks for that, the reports are so vague. You can bet if it was Pep the media would report it clearly.
But ultimately, why can the FA not ban him?! What’s the point of them?

That seems to be the case. Oddly, the BBC report doesn’t say this explicitly but the references to the assaults on refs in lower leagues in their coverage does seem to suggest it. The Telegraph is much clearer. More power to the FA’s elbow in this instance, I’d say.

To make it look above board the FA set-up an independent panel, made up of a Chair, 2 members and a Sec. It’s the panel that set the award and in this case, they think the panel got it wrong.
Seems like the panel are now also protecting the brand because if they understood what was going on in grass roots football then they’d have come down heavily on Klopp to try and stop the abuse that officials are facing up and down the country.

Yes, all this only 3 weeks after the Liverpool FA cancelled all grass roots games after a ref and his dad received death threats.

Exactly. We know why the media don’t bring these things up, just like when the Henderson incident was hardly reported.
The media are complicit, Liverpool ensure they are.

Nice. Hopefully this causes a rift between the FA and Liverpool.
