Arsenal game postponed

Postby nottsblue » Wed Sep 14, 2022 9:45 am

Arsenal's league game with Manchester City, originally set for 19 October, has been postponed to allow the rearrangement of the Gunners' Europa League tie against PSV Eindhoven.

Arsenal's game against PSV was set for Thursday, but "severe limitations on police resources" after Queen Elizabeth II's death prompted the postponement.

Arsenal will now play the Dutch side on 20 October.

The Premier League said it would find a new date "in due course".

Maybe the PL and broadcasters believe it will be a title decider after all.
On a serious note, thats now two big games pushed back to at least February due to current commitments and so we will have to crack on and get a lead at the top beforehand

Shows how stupid the scheduling is this season.
Mostly because of corruption by FIFA with a WC in that football stronghold Qatar. Also, sheer greed in the number of meaningless competitions, etc...
What happens if something else happens that causes mass cancellations, for ex, rail strikes, bad weather, etc...
Corruption and greed are rife.

This season is going to end in total chaos, but hey never mind, Blatter got his backhander.
