Feels like ages since we destroyed the rags, hopefully that means they are more than ready for what Vieira has planned for us tonight. Agree it wont be easy, and obviously will take a win however it comes (as always), but I sense goals tonight.
COME ON CITY!!!
Referee: Martin Atkinson
Assistants: Lee Betts, Richard West
Fourth official: Simon Hooper
VAR: Jarred Gillett
Assistant VAR: Harry Lennard
Team Selection
Guaita
Clyne
Anderson
Guehi
Mitchell
Kouyate
Conor
Schulpp
Wilf
Mateta
Olise
And the rest…
Long balls lads - none of this playing out from the back against this lot.
Give them some of their own medicine... frustrate them by playing about at the back, and press them when they play it around at the back…Stones has a mishap in him...Easy eh?
Got a good feeling about this. Draw or 1-0 win.
This is a free pass! Let’s go and do the double over them.
Man City are an amazing side, I don't hold any expectation but at the same time don't write us off against anyone under Vieira.
We could go 9th by doubling the champions on the same weekend Brighton recorded their worst run of form in 15 years. It probably won't happen. But imagine if it does.
I am waiting to see how much assistance M.City will get in the choice of referee before putting in my prediction. Friend has not reffed us since Liverpool!
Oddly confident, not sure why, don't normally get this strong a feeling. Palace 2 City 0 Zaha x 2…Zaha loves these big games.
Chance for Liverpool to have a 3 point gap with a game in hand, so the powers that be say to engineer a home win for us.
In the general scheme of things, I despise both this lot and the Murderers for different but obvious reasons which means that I give not a damn about who wins the league. I therefore confidently expect us to turn them over in a prelude to the same result in the FA Cup final, where we will record a trio of 2-0 wins over them in one season.
We will give them a game, but they truly clicked 2nd half in the Manchester derby. Even though we did the same 1st half vs Wolves, 0-2 for me.
I would love any kind of result against Man City, but they are on fire and they will really be looking to avenge that result earlier in the season.
Our patsies.
Our one hope is that Man City take risks playing really high up the pitch leaving the potential for the counter-attack. With Wilf and Olise in form we could at least test them, but it is really hard to see beyond a Man City win. I expect a valiant 0-2 defeat with Man City using tactical fouls that go unpunished for most of the game.
They are the best team in the league right now. We also blow hot and cold, but usually only manage a good 45 mins against their 90. I'd love to get a point, but if we keep it below a losing 2 goal difference we've done well. I'll enjoy the football on show and not worry about the result. COYP!
Watching them against Sporting I am now confident we can reduce them to only scoring 4 . We in turn could well get two . COYP.
If we play as well as we did against Watford and Wolves I'm going for 2-2.
Look forward to team selection this evening. Would like to see the same back 5 as in previous games, Olise & Zaha on top with Conor, Luka, Kouyate, and Eze occupying the midfield. Graft and creativity in sound balance.
City always seem to start the league a bit wobbly and we were lucky to catch them in that period. They won't be so generous this time.
