Bernardo Rodri and Cancelo given a rest and not in the travelling Party. Very sensible.

Brilliant. All three have been excellent and the less chance of them catching COVID through travelling for a meaningless match the better!

Hope we put the youngest side out available and save the regular players for the upcoming rush of games

Could have taken the opportunity to rest more players. Disappointed.

Perhaps each group stage win being worth over £2.5M in prize money has something to do with it.

Carson is turning into our most important bench warmer.

That will pay Kev's salary for approx 8 weeks.
A fortune to most people but in football a mere morsel from the banquet.
Reenforces why the dodgy VAR decisions usually go in the Rags and Dippers favor.

I think it's more to do with the fact each club has to register a Champions League squad at the start.
I'm happy with the 3 resting at home, I'd have liked Dias as well though.

Looks ok to me. Walker excepted the other guys mostly probably need games after lay offs

Would have at least liked to see Palmer starting.
Pretty pointless line up.

Its a champions league game. I don't think we should give them away and all those guys deserve a game.

Palmer scored in his last CL. What does he have to do to deserve a start?

He'll get on. Same old arguments we had with Foden. Who is now a first choice and one of the league's best.
Firstly Pep always wants to win win win and secondly its beneficial that kdb, foden gundog, mahrez etc have a run out. That'll be his thinking and I tend to trust him.
Well, until we get to champions league semis and finals anyway
