***Watford vs City Official Match Thread***

Up early for ballet with the little one today so thought I’d start this.

Pep has said everyone apart from Torres has trained. Hopefully a stronger squad to select from than the other night if he thinks Kev, Walker, Stones etc are match fit enough.

He did make a comment about some players being harder than others when it comes to injuries (he’s talking to you John) and referred to the others as soft  -

Pep Guardiola intriguingly hinted that some of his Manchester City players are softer than others when it comes to coping with injuries.

But, other than making it plain that Phil Foden is not one of the whingers - and that he wants to play regardless of niggles - the manager shied away from naming any names, understandably.

“He's a guy in the experience we are together, who holds the pain,” said Guardiola. “He has pain but it doesn't matter, 'I play, I play'.

When he has discomfort and says he does not feel good, it's because he does not feel good. This is what happened.

It's not a big injury in the ankle, in the game against Everton, that's why he could not play against PSG in the next game.

He tried but said he did not feel good but we were calm because on the images the doctor showed us, it's okay, it's not broken. It's just discomfort, a little bit.

“But he's a guy who tolerates really well. Normally you train with pain, it's impossible to wake up in the morning and be clean with everything but he's a guy where it's not a problem.

Quizzed on which players DON’T react like Foden to injury, Guardiola said to the questioner, with a smile: “Yeah, yeah, I'm going to write a mail to you and I'm going to tell you privately which players are softer. I'm going to tell you now.”

Watford are half decent, I'd happily take a 1-0 win. Torres, Stones, Kdb, Mahrez and Laporte are a little soft or too careful regarding niggles imo, Foden, Bernie and Fern hard as nails, come on City!

Posted this in the midweek games thread, still believe it's accurate for this game:
Not sure I share your worry - they've lost 4 of the last 5 league games, including home games against Southampton and Chelsea, and away games against the Arse and Leicester. Their only victory in that run was against Ole's super-heroes!!!

Fucking liar Liam we know you go alone to ballet. Its the feel of the leotard against your skin pal, don't try fooling us.

City win and have a feeling it will be a big score as well, we're due one.

I am partial to a leotard to be fair. Very flattering for my figure.

Goater up front with Tiatto and Charvet wing-backs. That’s all that’s been leaked so far.

Sterling has been directly involved in 12 goals in 8 appearances against Watford.

Tiatto was my favourite player. That goal against Boro that should have stood!
