I think the general point is that a pre-match thread is logically and chronologically anterior to the official match thread - ie 'before'

Early or not today is massive for both, Chelsea need a defeat, we need to put a dent in them. If they win who stops them. I expect us to treat it as a title defence game v the main challenge nothing less.

This for me also. Today is a time to put on our big boy pants and put in a performance. I have serious misgivings about Pep's plans and if he fucks about with a stupid team selection , i will not be happy. Can see him starting Sterling

I hope pep plays his best team and doesn’t try to be too clever thus handicapping us before its even started
