Read the article, loads if factors behind this, Sane's fee not even factored in. It will be interesting to see our rivals figures.

Wonder how that fares in relation to other clubs. Would guess a lot in the same boat.

Yeah exactly. MCFC can sustain this but lots of other clubs won’t be able to I imagine.

If we are losing this then others are fucked.

What have we lost out on? Match day revenue only really? Some other clubs are screwed then.

Add in some transactions are after the financial year and i think when we balance it out over the two years we will come out of this better placed than most.

Rags will be fucked esp as the glazers will still want their dividends.

Other than sports teams, Glazers other major investment/ownership is commercial real estate predominantly in shopping centres, i wouldn't want to be in their shoes that is for sure. I wonder how many families they have put on the streets by demanding rent they don't have?

Match day, yeah, imho.
We had the second ticket income in the league in the last "normal season".

Odd, to be honest. I was certain we had no fans and we were called Emptyhad.

Sounds a lot but when you take int9 account the extra CL money and the Sane transfer fee among others, next years accounts will look much healthier and the club has already alluded to as such

But maybe that’s why Pep was saying we won’t be spending huge sums this summer

Some creative accounting going on here I order to take a bigger hit this year that we got a COVID free hit.

Not sure I agree with him that next year's results will be stronger - a bigger percentage of the 2020-21 season will be covid affected than the previous. I would be surprised to see commercial income improve (but I'm not a financial expert).

Have to look into the numbers if they become available again. Remember, we aren't publicly listed so technically we wouldn't even have to put these numbers out.

Matchday revenue and loss of sales in the shop wouldn't contribute more than 30 million if I remember previous years numbers correctly. There's more to these losses I feel.

Could be some accounting wizardry after UEFA published that it's FFP free couple of years. Like heavily pushing some payments forward so we'll have clean books when new version of FFP kicks in. I mean that's what I'd do if I had no problems with liquid money but we are tied by communist FFP rules.
