I think the way we lost rankles as much as the actual loss. What I for one thought would be a team good enough to beat the rags turned out not to be the case. But you can’t legislate for your forward conceding a stupid penalty 40 seconds in. And one of your attackers missing two gilt edged chances.

But the rags seemed to want it more. And that is unforgivable. The minimum required in a derby is passion equal but preferably higher than the opponent. We lost our heads a bit when the second goal went in as well which is unusual but once again, when falling behind we struggle to turn it round.

But on a positive side, we lost the battle but we WILL win the war. The PL pot will be on our sideboard soon

Pep's one game at a time tells you he doesn't see or understand what a Derby is to us the fans.

Similarly, his ability to hook a player off on a Hattrick is another bug bear of mine.

Oh and p.s. format for match day thread is

*** City or Man City vs 'X team name' official match thread*** ;-) also if you've started the pre match thread you can just edit thread title rather than starting w

Yeah I thought that is what I did what was wrong?

I agree with Hans, pal. Usually the official game thread starts with an hour before the game so I can moan if we are one up yet.
Also the Post match become the Official One.

So after Pep, the players and Taylor, you are responsible :D

Will have to take that on the chin, but you did post are we one up yet ah well fuck it will leave it to the experts in future

yeah, had to post in both threads. So there you go. Two are we one up yet posts mean we are not one up yet and actually one down.

I'd say that's not clutching at straws but simply a saving grace, that the weekend was not a total footballing disaster.

As much as a Derby loss is unbearable, we will get beyond it and hopefully smash saints!

That was an epic fuck up started by Pep first and foremost
passed on to Jesus
then on to Brown
and finally passed randomly about between Sterling Jesus and Kev for the rest of the game with Pep adding extra bite by doing nothing.

Basically we should have put Lillo in charge at half time and taken Kev, Sterling and Jesus off. Taking the fuck up with them to the dressing room.

Exactly Why Foden and Bernardo should have been in from the start. I think Bernardo actually gets what the game means more than some others do.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Just some thoughts.
Bernard and Forden were needed for an energetic performance.
Walker and Cancelo should have been full backs.
KDB shouldn't have started at the expense of a winning formula.
Rodri and Gundogan I still a poor combination.
Mahrez having one or two reasonable performances doest make him reliable for big games.
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

Agree with most of this .
Gundogan was our best player today he never stopped giving everything. Sterling was his useless infuriating worst and should never have started as his record in these games is dogshit . Cancelo was poor and KDB is way off his best . Why Foden and Bernie didn’t start is a complete fuck up along with Walker’s pace ???? . Keystone cops start from us put us on the back foot absolute shitter of a result and day . Thank fuck we are 11pts clear .
We need to win on Wednesday now to put this collective shit show behind us .

I think Gundogan is cramped by KDB. Gundogan, Bernardo and Rodri should have started as the middle 3. As should Kun...worth 60 minutes. He's about 14 times as good as Jesus, even at 80% match fitness. Foden instead of Sterling. Fucking infuriating.

Kev was THE problem today - should not have been selected. We all know it and could see he was fucking up the flow for the last couple of games.
PG is a tit.

Other culprits were no worse than they usually are - Sterling dithering Jesus missing etc etc. and we normally get away with it.

Kev's performance sank us unfortunately.

Yep. The 2 biggest names were shocking. Jesus was indescribably bad.

Some fans are Sick Harry.........others just shrug their shoulders and carry on to the Southampton game.
