yep

Spunking his life away or having a fucking blast?

The 86 WC was the first international tournament I followed. He was just amazing – no one even came close.

RIP - Best player I ever saw.
In addition to his incredible skill, he was brave and a real leader.
He delivered big time playing in mediocre teams - WC in 86, two Serie A titles, WC final playing on one leg in '90...

Cheating? He handled a ball in an important match - big deal - get over it - blame the ref and the linesmen..... savor the second goal...

And think about what happened at OT at the weekend and what has been happening there for years - since Fergie arrived - that is what I call cheating

Great player who almost single handed won the 86 WC for Argentina. RIP Diego. Condolences to Kun and his son.

Exactly. How come Thierry Henry is lauded as a saint in this country.
Didn't he do exactly the same thing for France against Ireland in the Play Off to qualify them.
If your face fits and all that. Unbelievable player, the other goal against England that day was one of the best ever. RIP

Henry just did what the vast majority of footballers do - seek an (unfair) advantage a la Mane, Salah et al.
For once Keane was spot on with both his observations - FAI's response and Delaney spouting about honesty.
FAI's response was an embarrassment total cringe and it has since been proved that Delaney is dishonest.

Just like Cantona, Evra, Pogba, Nasri, Anelka, Ginola.... they are everywhere in football but a disproportionate number seem to be French

I always link the Marseille French as dodgy fuckers. Benzema trying blackmail Valbuena sums them up.

Sad news for the football world RIP Diego

Napoli are planning a slightly different tribute this weekend. There will be a minutes snort before Sunday’s game

No other footballer has ever delivered the hopes of a nation on his own as Maradona did in 86 and with Pele will influence the global impact of football ever.

Took a shit team to the top of the world, almost single handedly, and then almost did it again next WC with a worse team. He was a flawed genius, but a genius nonetheless. RIP Diego.

A quality player for sure, but he was no Matt Le Tissier.

And also did it with Napoli.

Unfortunately he was just before my time regularly watching football but I can think of another player who single-handledly took teams to such great success.

Never once saw him bad mouth, give out to or make a team mate feel inferior. On top of all the outrageous gifts he had he was all about the Team. It was never about him. Best ever IMO.

VAR have reviewed the 'hand of god' Maradonna incident and have awarded a penalty to Man Utd.
