Very said but not surprising given the lifestyle, one of the best players ever.

Best ever with a ball at his feet. Never backed down from anyone no matter what size they were. And this was back in the days when dribblers got kicked all day.

What a fantastic player, truly world class. There will be some wake going on in Naples right now . The amount of memorabilia there when we went to Napoli a couple of years ago just shows how highly he was revered there. RIP

When he won the league for them, the Ultras of Napoli wrote on the cemeteries walls around the city: ”You have no idea what you missed”.
Plus, Argentinians don't write Dios, to God, they write D10S.

Had as many legal drugs to keep him on the pitch. Crippled as you say from kicking every game. Greatest player for me.

Spunking his life away or having a fucking blast?

The 86 WC was the first international tournament I followed. He was just amazing – no one even came close.

Great player but not a great person.

In his defence, I think a lot of his drug problems were actually initiated by his clubs, who are supposed to have given him drugs to bulk him up, then later to keep him playing when injured.
