Cynical view, but a good way to avoid injury

They have the best defensive striker in the league. He’s not there to score goals, he’s there to defend.

He's not a striker, they have two, same as City.

my mate said always have a whisky before you go to bed in Egypt. It kills all the germs in the water they use to wash your Salah.

Only one team in it towards the end and should’ve gone on to win.
Played well in tiny bits. Settled for a draw.

Hi chaps,
James Milner- was it true he declared his future to Man City (or something) before winding down his contract to leave on a free to Liverpool?
I can remember reading something on this forum.
Let me know- I want to disprove it to someone calling Milner a model professional

Said he wanted to play more. He played more (38 games I believe in his final season). Then said he wanted to play CM. He turned up at Liverpool and played LB.
The guy just strung us along and then lied about his reasons for moving.
He’s said a few things since leaving to piss us off as well

I dont think he ever pledged his loyalty to us as I suspect you mean. Why would he? He wasn't in demand anywhere particular. I just think he saw the writing on the wall and he wasn't going to get game time, so decided to try his hand at Liverpool. Timed it all wrong though and ended up in a worse situation. What he said since leaving was probably more to get on side with the dippers than anything else.
