So if you’ve got Sky Sports they’re going to charge you £14.95 per game?

All premier league games that are NOT televised will be watchable on either bt or sky box office platform for a charge. Think we missed a bit of important information out there.

Henry Winter quoting all games ? Even if half the games will be pay to view it is a complete disgrace.

Yeahh sorry, I've just looked through his feed on twitter. I don't think he has outlined it in the best way possible. Researching it, i believe all games that have been selected for tv coverage will still stand off cause but the rest that would not normally be on tv, they are going to stream them for a charge. This is apparently to generate matchday income for clubs which is great however I still don't agree with the £14.95 charge. They are trying to do a good thing but the charge for watching a game is ridiculous. Especially when its to watch the sack of shit outlined below lol.
"Manchester United's trip to Newcastle United will be the first game to be show on pay-per-view, with the game kicking off at 8pm (Saturday October 17). The following day Sky Sports Box Office will be at the King Power Stadium for Leicester City vs Aston Villa at 7.15pm (Sunday October 18), and the final pay-per-view offering from round five of the Premier League will be West Bromwich Albion vs Burnley, kicking off at 5.30pm (Monday October 19)."

Don’t see the issue, it’s what football has been doing all along, turning a crisis into an opportunity. The majority of the big games will be televised per usual and then if you want to watch a game like Burnley v Brighton then you pay for the one game pass.
Most of our games should be OK if you have BT/Sky, or at least the usual 25 to 27 games (Rags/Dippers average about 28 to 30), but just think if you’re a Palace or Southampton fan?

Won’t effect me as I’ve still not watched us this season, watched the odd highlight here and there. When they stop the kneeling I’ll continue with the foreign streams so still won’t effect me then.

People will have the choice. They pay their money or they dont. Personally I wouldn't pay £15 to watch a game, but I am a tight get. Cant imagine this will be a long term fix or solution but it is what it is.
Sky clearly dont take enough money in already so their money men have devised a way to boost their coffers further.
I reckon more people will be turned off than on and long term it will have a negative impact but we shall see

I’m on the might or might not watch the game brigade - if I have something half interesting to do on the day I’ll choose that over watching our game .

I despair thats some price to watch a game of football on the box, if anything that will turn people off watching all together.

that's robbery
In the US we had to pay $3 for non-televised CL matches last season and even that felt like theft

And when three or four households (of more than 6!!!) get together to help share the cost that will increase the risk of spreading the virus!
Yeah great idea!

Exactly my thoughts. For people used to watching 3 games in an afternoon, it's going to be a case of shelling out £45, if these games are staggered to maximize viewing figures.
The other thing is, it's going to be more profitable for Sky/BT (assuming that's where the lion's share of the money goes - I haven't found a breakdown of this yet) to put games of the most-supported teams on pay-per-view. Get ready to see more Burnley v Southampton-type games selected for TV viewing in the next round of fixtures, with 'big' games all-of-a-sudden becoming PPV.
