Mase bad news, Otter is going to Seville as part of the deal.

Kompany and Silva gone, now potentially Otter - Aguero is going to have no mates left! No wonder he’s pretending to be injured for so long.

Glad we aren’t giving any money to that utter prick who owns Napoli . That said I think this is a risky panic buy and the fact he has a shit hairstyle says it all .

They're sure to hold out for as close to the max we wanted to offer for Koulibaly as possible.
Only thing that could help is exchanging Nico, but his wages are also high.

The Messi saga has added to the mix in that selling clubs knew we were going to pay a huge salary and after beating the FFP case through CAS we have money.
If the selling club then decides to ask for more money or to inflate the transfer fee at the outset we have two options.
1. Tell the selling club we won’t do business at the quoted price and see if there is room for manoeuvre. If there isn’t then we walk away as we don’t want to be held to ransom for this and just as importantly, future transfer negotiations
2. Pay the transfer fee and obtain the player we want but at a higher cost than we budgeted for
Long term, option one probably wins out more often than not but that doesn’t help the immediate requirements the squad requires. But we are a long term planning club, that much is clear. So if we don’t get all our targets this window then perhaps our owners favour option one. Just a thought

Option 1 route is a recipe for meltdown on this site, the usual suspects will snap at their keyboards if we walk away from rip off deals, then cry when we overpay and it doesn't work out. Not mentioning names

Clubs will try to squeeze as much out of us as they can, we cannot blame them but we have shown in the past that we are prepared to walk away and that will continue if clubs push their luck.

Me too.
Something tells me they're going to push for at least €70m given what Napoli want for Koulibaly + the 20% sell on fee they will owe Bordeaux and what they paid for him (€25m) to garner a €50m+ profit.
My sense is they know Napoli want €75 for KK so maybe something like €72-73m to also get as close to a €55m profit as they can.
If we walk away then what's the alternative? Back to Napoli and pay the fee? Maybe we do then. Who knows?
Sevilla may think they can get more next summer with another good season.
I don't think this is so sure to go smoothly as some hope.

Maybe we should just tell JS to stay off the sauce.

If that's the case, walk away.
We have Laporte Ake Garcia Stones.
They are good enough

Ha. Good point though. Imagine if he comes good for us, he’d be like a new signing. Frustrating player. But I wish him the best (especially if it means him realising his potential with us).

It likely was dragging due to the Super Cup. Now that that is done my completely uninformed guess is that this will be resolved one way or the other before the next Cup match.
