They can stick it up their hole. How many times was Silva and Aguero deliberately overlooked for this.

I know this isn't a popular view from our fans, but I think Silva's lack of goals and even assists led to less general appreciation and Aguero's injury record and when he would get injured, hurt him winning this award against someone else.

Can we think of a specific year where we feel they were snubbed?

I will say that had they played for some other sides they might have won at least once between the two.

We know Yaya finished 3rd against Suarez who was hard to not give it to, but I feel it's hard to deny Yaya's season was better than Gerrard's.

Funny thing is a lot of players are probably secretly fans of other clubs they grew up supporting. I heard Eric Dier refer to how much he loved Utd when he was young in this season's Amazon doc, and given that we were not a club at that time that many PL players grew up liking, especially those from the UK, Liverpool were that.

I think that it makes sense this would have some impact on voting.

Today De Bruyne is loved by young English players who talk about that (was it Grielish or Maddison who said that?).

Meanwhile beyond pleased Kev won it. He might have the season before had he not gotten injured, but so glad he finally gets some proper documented credit for his immense qualities.

Absolutely this, should have won it in 17/18 as well.
I was switching between the games last night and he was just a class above anyone else against Iceland and creating chances for fun unlike our midfield who barely created anything over Iceland at weekend and last night.

Not sure why people were surprised that Phil Thompson was let go from SS. I’m surprised Geoff S has been kept on - for some reason he seems to have quite a fan base. I think the guy is a prick. That whole show is like a who’s who of alcoholic former footballers.

The crackhead being kept on is what surprised me. The only one I had time for was Le Tissier, he said that Rooney goal was a 'shinner', he's alright by me.

Le Tissier was alright, but like you say, he didn’t conform to Sky’s narrative so that’s most likely the reason he’s been let go.
