Considering our comps, I’d prefer to play for this cup than the FA.

Timing for the FA Cup just isn’t conducive with the CL, where the real money is.

Still feel we should go all out in 4 comps, we have the squad to do it, maybe use carabao and fa cups to blood youngsters.

Would be disappointed to go out of cups but it would be worth it if the young uns are getting 5-10 games extra in a season

Went to Preston North End this time last year and had a great afternoon and night . City end was packed and loud and Preston fans did there home town proud , think there was 20K there not sure ?
Football is shit and and soulless without fans absolute shite .

I'd prefer this CC was over in November/December. The final is always sandwiched in between the CL last 16.

Has been a good relatively easy cup for us to win recently with most teams giving this low priority. I would rather us blood the youngsters and get them game time early doors in this.
I'd forgotten that there will be another UEFA competition that the potential winners of this will enter if they don't make the PL top six - what a fucking waste of time

Fuck it. Why dont they just do the decent thing and put us in the final. Then have a knock out competition to see who has the pleasure of watching us lift the trophy on the day.

No need for all these silly games, none whatsoever.

I’m torn. I love going to Wembers and the day is usually (apart from Wigan) a great day out from start to finish.

But at the same time I’d rather see kids being used and having the first team focus on things more important. Plus it will be good for the kids to see there is a chance for them here.

I just read that the kid we got from Brazil
Yan Couto is going on loan to Girona this year
Apparently he only signed for us because Pep called him and told him he would be with the 1st team squad , Not happy by all accounts

I read it on Bluemoon forum I mentioned it
As I agree with Mase although I love the finals
Cups could give great experience to the younger guys

Have we ever had a player go on loan to Girona and absolutely smash it and come back and get a regular spot in the first team?

At what point will they realise that model doesn’t work?

Exactly, but I reckon is something to do with work permit.

Watching the Burton v Villa game and you’d think that Grealish was a mix of Pele, Maradona, the real Ronaldo, Messi and KDB the way the commentators are eulogising his play.

All this while they are scraping past Burton 2-1.

None at all and hes going to second division there. I had high hopes for Aleix Garcia who did well for them in the top division and did well for us in carling cup at a time when we were crying out for someone to give fern a rest but he didnt get a sniff. I had heard Couto was the real deal, i am disappointed we arent using him as second choice right back while shifting cancelo to first choice left back and keeping one of mendy or zinch as back up(assuming we dont sign anyone).

Never mind Girona has any player gone out on loand and come back into the first team? Zinchenko maybe and Hart before him? Maybe Steffan this year? Not a great model is it? I guess as long as its making money then its ok......

Btw has Tosin gone out on loan yet? All very quiet on him. He cant stay around given the amount of shit centre halves we have.

But how many have we sent on loan and sell on for a few million profit? This is our business model for the Academy. It is a cash generator for probably 80/90% of players in there and if one or two become first teamers like Foden and Garcia then brilliant. But first and foremost, it’s our ATM
