Has been proved right TBF. Barca history is littered with greats being treated like dirt. Even the founder was banished.

Oh 64, step away from twatter for the love of God and our sanity.

"Hagrid" for FFS, you really have lost the plot mate.

As much as I would like it to be true, Jesus!!! Show us summat even remotely tangible let alone credible

Don't tell me (us) if they don't sort by 5th November there will be fireworks.

Step away from twatter, I beg you

@hagrid is Mr Barcelona please learn your stuff . Condescending doesn’t suit you ok .

If this is true, why did they fight tooth and nail to keep Messi barely a month ago? His salary of £94M would go a long way to alleviating their financial woes. I don’t doubt they aren’t in a great position financially, but I sincerely doubt administration is just around the corner

I suspect the greedy bastards were gambling in getting as much money on a transfer to us as possible - that back fired .

Manchester City could offer Barcelona and Argentina forward Lionel Messi, 33, a pre-contract in January before a move to England next summer.

Speculative at best, worse if true.... Barca need a very very quick financial fix, next summer is no good to them, let alone us being kind/nice to them.

The only way anything would happen in THEIR current situation would be a free transfer allowing them to off load his obscene wage bill, surely??

FTR: I still think him coming to us is pointless, even for pittance, unless.... It guarantees Sergio staying a few more season's

Interestingly, I was driving to London on Sunday and listening to the Undr the Cosh podcast that has ex footballers on dishing dirt. Luke Chadwick was full of praise for “Sir Alex”, but then told a story about when Chadwick had the opportunity to choose from two different clubs to go out on loan - Cardiff where Slur’s mate was managing and Reading that was closer to home for Chadwick (and he was proper home sick).

Chadwick chose Reading, so Ferguson phoned him to say “if you choose Reading and don’t go where my mate is managing you’ll only get half your salary. If you go to Cardiff we’ll top up the other half so you’ll get your full salary” Horrible Scottish cunt.

But he must have had the players manipulated because Chadwick was full of praise for the red nose twat. He didn’t even see what was happening in front of his own eyes!

That's about the only good thing about it , if he comes ; even then , you'd have to worry about home much he'll impact / divide team spirit. I'd only want him here
i) on a free
ii) within our wage structure
iii) understanding that he needs to earn starts.

The dressing room would be buzzing and he will be on HUGE money mate. It's done I think he is here. That's why Pep has been so clear on no return to Barca.

I would say they are buzzing alright. Why wouldn't they be, a 34 year old coming in to take the place of younger players. Buzzing like fuck they are.
The only one buzzing will be pep.

Aguero and Messi are shit together. Countless torments and they rarely click, Sergio always seems to want to assist Messi and Messi seems to expect Sergio to shoot.

The moment has passed for me.

Why are people assuming Messi would want billions ?

He's got enough anyway.

Perhaps he would do the gig for expenses plus

34 in june so IF he comes next season he is very much so on the downward curve I am afraid.
I would be buzzing if he was 30, absolutely, but he is not and when it's all weighed up, it's a bit risky for me.
