It seems pointless to me now. Just get on with the game.

I honestly couldn’t believe it was still being done. What’s the message at this point? Is it just going to be the new normal now?

I wouldn't blame them if they didn't, but I won't criticize them for taking a stance.

I think you need to look up the definition of stance – both literally and figuratively.

Not kneeling would be a stance too.
The fact that it is mandated by PL and done by everyone really undermines any notion of it being a stance.

This is actually something being discussed? It delays KO by 15 seconds. Who gives a shit...

Pep got told he wasn’t allowed to wear something relating to a political statement when he wore the yellow ribbon. But everyone is being forced to kneel for a political statement?

I don't think it's compulsory per se. But of course it would look iffy if you don't

Still, is anti racism really political rather than just common sense? Catalonian independence, is another matter

Couldn't agree more. We have all got the message by now, haven't we?

Imo they have a political agenda. Therefore I think it should have been done once and left at that.

James McLean gets abuse when he doesn’t wear a poppy, imagine a player standing whilst everyone is kneeling - they’d be accused of all sorts!!!

Yes, but I think they'd also get a lot of respect. From far right knobs but also from many who are a bit tired of this corporate virtue signalling.

Its causing more division.

There is NO need to carry on with this mentally enforced action on sportsmen and public figures.....I have all the respect in the world for those who do not kneel but who do believe in diversity and fairness but refuse to be mentally bullied into doing something they do not want to do.

This should have been a one off showing before sports games and then left at that.

I'm not so sure about the political agenda, but I get what you're saying. I have huge respect for McLean for refusing to take part in the poppy spectacle. I would for anyone not kneeling as well, unless they're a racist bellend.

I’m the same. I don’t think anyone should be made to do anything they don’t want to do.
