Doesn't make you a bad player.

The type of players Jesus, Vardy, etc are they’re going to get caught offside some times. Jesus playing on the last man pays off - Southampton last game of the season to get us the 100 points.

I know the media gave the scousers every excuse under the sun, but for me like with Ramos, Jesus played Van Dyk well he might be a level under Sergio in the finishing, but he is still a top player we need to nurture him. Southampton Game the 1 v 1 at Spurs slotted. Earlier pass might help him, but Pep loves the possession. He is Brazil's number 9 after-all.

If that Spurs goal had been allowed things may have turned out differently as well. That was when suddenly we started to get nothing from refs and our heads dropped.

Firmino has taken some stick on social media this week. People finally seeing through the bullshit “defensive” striker that the scousers tried to play off.

Just the right sort of game to get his confidence back tonight , when we score early we usually destroy teams . Tonight was no exception.

Excellent last night, about time, scores that early chance and he's a different player. That version of Jesus is good enough to lead the line for this team.

Thats just it though isn't it..that version rarely plays.
He will never lead the line for us IMO - a good back up choice , I will not disagree there , but never in a million years can he lead the line.
City need to spend this summer on someone that can.

Yep, it's about consistency, hasn't shown yet that he can provide it but I recall the same conversation about Sterling before things suddenly clicked for him.

I think PeP himself knows that he cannot make the same mistake he made last year when he failed to replace Vinnie -

We desperately need to get rid of some players who no longer bring anything to the table and 100% bring in a CD and a forward.
If we play JG upfront but not necessarily as an out and out forward he will do very well IMO and we can buy another 'Sergio type' out and out forward to take on that prime responsibility of putting prime chances away.

Agree with that, we need to be signing Aguero's replacement this summer.

Vardy would get about 50 for us if he played JG minutes. A clever signing like that alongside JG and SA would be ace.

But Aguero doesn’t get 50 for us so Vardy is better than Serg?

He's 33, if we're going that route I'd rather Aubameyang.

Or Lewandowski. 50+ goals this season

Jesus not good enough for regular starts but would definitely keep him in the squad

We don’t necessarily need someone who scores 50 or even 30 goals, we score loads once we are ahead. We need someone who can be relied on to score that critical initial, sometimes only, chance.
