Vinny on Pep

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Vinny on Pep

Postby Hazy2 » Mon Dec 23, 2019 2:56 pm

Well said Vinny,

'If I was in a deciding position at City now, [then] I would do everything I can to keep Pep [Guardiola] for as long as I can. He is truly the best.

'To say anyone will ever come near, it is speculating in a ludicrous way.'

Spot on.

I'm sure City will do everything they can to keep him here. It's entirely up to Pep though. The ball is in his court.

Exactly

Paid 20 million a year , highest paid manager on the planet and has been given his job which was tailor made for him with the hierarchy bending over backwards to give him what he wants,,,,,,,he will never come near to being given so much by any other club out there so if he fucks off then he fucks off.

I think it will all depend on how we finish this season.

To be fair alot of clubs out there will happily pay what we're paying and bend backwards to have him.

Nothing like what we did , from facilities to players - no one will give him the 100,s of millions we have given him and to a certain extent will continue to give him.......no one from Spain Italy or Germany.

I dont think what happens this season will make a difference. He will be here next season. If we win nothing this season he is not getting sacked and he wont just walk away. Now fuck off cunts in the media with your shit stirring bollocks.

No doubting he looks stressed as fuck. Actually looked completely worn out on Saturday in his interview after the match.

Couldn't tell you mate. I'm probably 50/50 at the moment. It's known that his wife and daughter spend most of the week back in Barcelona. I can tell you if my daughter wasn't with me the whole week I'd leave wherever I was to be with her.

Not sure what is going on behind the scenes at the moment. Barca could be speaking with him on the sly? Who knows.

Pep is working with his best pals in the world. He has the conditions to do whatever he wants, however with a playing squad in need of a revamp, do we give him the big dough with a year left and a summer 2020 window or not. Khaldoon and Co have to control this, we are phasing more legends out sadly, are we also phasing Peps era to an end or not. I do not want a rebuild/New manager/Rags Arsenal and scouse twats situation of lost years. Pep is everything at City like rednose and Wenger.

He's working with his best mates, but his family aren't there for most of the week. I know what I'd prefer.

Saying that, I think the aim for Pep when he came in was the Champions League. Whether he stays until he's won that or not remains to be seen.

What I am saying is Pep is a control freak, however we have if he sees it out 1 summer window he is gone, do we give him the cheque book or not. Sergio will be in the same position as David done. How do you replace Kun and Pep keeping the crowd onside as we say repeat this season with hit and miss performances. The scousers are good for another 2 or 3 years with the present squad and will spend, a lot to consider, I go with Vinny sign him up, it will be whole lot less painful.

I think PePs signings are the clubs signings and visa versa and a style of play that is part and parcel of who we are a s a club - if and when he goes the new manager will have to comply and follow on from that philosophy.

I think only few managers out there can follow this mindset.

The style of play is Pep's style of play. The shit he got from the media and a lot of our fans for bombing out " England's Number 1" was unbelievable and even more so with Bravo['s cock ups in the 16/17 season but he was determined to have possession based football from the back and since Ederson it's been on another level. Hart has not proved him wrong as he goes from bench to bench.

i read somewhere that he decided Hart wasn't for him when he was apparently MOTM, in a City v Bayern Champs League game but kept making saves then kicking it straight back to them to try again.

The winning the ball back within so many seconds of losing it is something he's always used and 1 of the reasons we've been so successful the last few years.

I'd love him to stay, if not give it to Carl with Nigel as his Number 2. Merry Xmas.

I never gave a shit about Shrek's best mate and I certainly didn't shed a tear when PeP fucked him off........PeP still made a huge blunder with signing Bravo who was and still is worse than Hart.

What that fucker Klopp has on him is loyalty.

I think Pep will leave and things like “we will be better next year” for me saids it all. The signals are there. Those are the same as “we played fantastic” when he is at the point of choking the officials or our defence.

As much as he annoys the fuck out of me at times, I would be mental to want anyone else here.
