We were the most clinical side in the Premier League the season you started this.
BaldIe disagrees...said we miss lots of chances and we need to improve this.
The above is FAC............TUAL.
When did he say that, was it during the 17/18 season when NT started this?

No - and try doing your own homework ffs !!
18/19 season
"In the big events, especially in the Champions League, we need to be more clinical in this situation because sooner or later we are not going to win."
He then said in his post-match press conference: "I still feel we have a lot to improve."

Look at the opening post, he started this the season before when we were the most clinical side in the league.

Every team's fans hopes/wants/expects their team to score every time they have the ball. We are no different. However, that almost always doesn't happen. Opta do analysis of how many goals a team should score (or concede) based on an "expected goals" model. After analysing over 300,000 shots, expected goals (xG) measures the quality of a shot based on a number of different variables. The metric gives an indication as to how many goals a team should have scored (or conceded) on average based on the chances they have had/given up. Last season, when we couldn't defend properly or score for toffee, both xG for and xG against were within 1 goal of what actually happened. So either xG is a shit metric and our finishing and defending really was crap, or it's pretty accurate and we're just a bunch of moaning twats that have got too used to scoring for fun and can't believe we're now scoring "normal" numbers.

Just checked the numbers for this season and we are 2.2 goals behind xG for and 0.2 goals ahead of xG against. At best that's another 4 points for us (one goal in each of 2 games we've drawn) or we could have put 7 past Burnley. Still, not too far away from where we're at so far.

I'm not convinced by xG because it doesn't factor in chances which don't lead to a shot, for example if a striker one on one tries to round the keeper but fails this is not counted on the xG.
Another example is when all a player has to do is square the ball for a simple tap in but shoots instead, the xG is for that shot when there was a much better chance on, which you'd expect to be scored.
It's good for measuring conversion but not for gauging how clinical a side is.

Too much goes into these analytical factors of players performances - its not hard to see a player fuck up in front of goal when he should have scored.......is it.

Nope it is not ,
Pep has made sure that he has become the issue and not the team. Or whoever plays up front.

Sure we had at least one: Kev's weak effort into their goalkeeper's arms.

And McCarthy saving from Gundo in the top corner.

Did a great Chuckle bros impression with that move late on. Sterling didn't fancy it so played Bernado in. He didn't fancy it so squared it to Mahrez to volley over from six yards out. I seriously thought they were taking the piss with that.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

indeed it doesn't make sense Bernardo is a left footer , you would think he shoot at goal .
