Surely that can't be right? The murderers don't buy players, they're all homegrown and come from Toxteth

Can I just say your excellent avatar (although containing several fine examples) doesn't actually include Big Dave with his perm. :)

Nah two tone suits were the 60's . the 70's clotheswise was the decade of seriously bad taste. Check out the Wallpaper in Alex's house in "A Clockwork orange" . Serious Grunge before Grunge came along.

To be honest I can't even remember if he had one. I know a lot did in that era, even Tommy Booth if I recall. That was around the time I started following City (77) and one of my earliest memories was beating the murderers 3-1. Might have been the season we were runners up? What a great team it was too - Doyle, Watson, Power, Kidd, Owen, Hartford, Barnes, Donachie........then Big Mal came back unfortunately. Anyone remember the feature on Nationwide on City from around that era? Saturday Heroes it was called I think - I still have the booklet from it somewhere.

I hear you and am aware...but....

Messi £500k/week)contract off the books
Suarez contract off the books
Will sell/loan Dembele (even if at a cut cost will still leave them with more money)

That's A LOT of money that you can then have to spend on Haaland.

For those (Mase?) asking about how he could get offered £400-600k/week wages?

De Jong earns €400k Euros a week and that was 2 seasons ago.

Yes, there's COVID but this is the most sought after young striker in the world right now.

Bottom line if I were told I had to pick where Haaland goes next I would not bet any significant amount of money on us signing him.

I will bookmark this.

I don’t think we’ll be in for him personally, so I agree. I’m not sure who Prez is arguing with.

Should we be in for Haaland? Absolutely. That’s what we’re all saying.

But to say “Haaland won’t come unless we win the Champions League” is fuckin ridiculous
