Kickoff looms. Guard of honour to the New Crowned Premier League Champions snd it’s sll quiet in here wtf?

Expecting a powerful performance today from the champions. I can see some game time possibly for young Foden and Diaz from the bench

Predicting a 4-1 win today

Should be a celebration today and the atmosphere will be one to savour. It's times like these when you wish you were back home.

That's the best part of winning the league so early.......... we can savour the last few games. Mendy is involved today which I'm sure will be as a sub. That should add a bit to the atmosphere too.

Going to the match. Hoping Mendy gets a start or at least comes off the bench. Should be a great atmosphere. 3 points and lots of goals please.

Would love to see Foden given more than 10 mins.

Read on the City app that half of Pep's defeats at Bayern came after he had won the League.
We now in that danger zone.
Today will be a great indication regarding how driven for more success we are and whether we can retain the same level of focus.

Id imagine PeP is well aware of that stat and will ensure history doesn't repeat itself.
I read one report that hes going to be a mega cunt next year to ensure we defend the title and he will be less ''friendly'' to the players.

Good.

Have I got this right?

If Arsenal win the Europa League, there'll be 5 CL places for English teams, plus 3 Europa League places, and, as we've won the League Cup, and providing Rags or Chelsea win the FA Cup, the third Europa place will go to 8th in the league. That position is currently occupied by Leicester on 44 points. Now, Swansea, with 15 points to play for are on 33 points, meaning they're still in with an (extremely long) shot of European football this season, in spite of - as things currently stand - only being 2 points off the relegation zone and also still in with a chance of finishing bottom of the league.

It's been a strange season in the bottom two-thirds, that's for sure...

City XI: Ederson, Danilo, Kompany (C), Laporte, Delph, Gündogan, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Silva, Sterling, Jesus

Subs: Bravo, Walker, Sané, Mendy, Otamendi, Touré, Foden

No Sane. Otherwise pretty much as expected. Fernandinho suspended of course. Hopefully Foden and Mendy will get some minutes.

is this now the match thread?

cant complain about the lineup. love seeing Bernardo start.
like most I too wanna see Mendy and Foden get some time--at least 20 for Mendy and not just a 3 min cameo.

I have my doubts over Danilo. I really want Maffeo to be given a chance as Walker’s understudy.

Decent side. But then again, with our squad it’s always gonna be a decent side. Looking forward to this one

Neville “City have invested in young central defenders for hundreds of millions of pounds - Laporte, Stones, Otamendi”

1. He was telling the rags to spend anything to get Laporte
2. Otter young?

The spanish commentators said that we are unbeaten in the league when Jesus starts a game, since he came. That can't be right?

Because WBA won at the rags that means that Swansea can win today...
