Another thing is this likely would've sold out within a couple of days if the strict criteria to stop Liverpool fans getting tickets in the home end wasn't in place.

So, in the pub today a guy says he has ordered the Champagne for when Scouse beat City this week. We are in Glossop, miles from the coast and he doesn't speak Scouse so God knows why he supports them. But he is very old and otherwise pleasant, so the conversation goes:

Me: 'That's a bit early, isn't it?'
Him: 'No, I mean when Klopp beats City on Wednesday'
Me: 'But there will be the second game to come'
Him: 'How do you mean?'
Me: 'Its a two-legged tie, with the return in Manchester the week after'
Him: 'I didn't know that. I love Klopp though'

Not according to PhysioRoom - he's out with a foot injury. Anyone else heard anything about this?

Too slow though, and naive, to be up against Salah. I didn't get the impression that Danilo was fast either. It will be interesting to see how Guardiola negates the Liverpool attack threat.

I think Laporte will play LB and City will double up where necessary. Aguero will almost certainly not start but Jesus is fully up to speed again. Their front three is good but so is ours. Our midfield is much better and we have a better defence, particularly taking account of our goalkeeper and their’s. Take a score draw, preferably 2-2. Going to the second leg which should be a fantastic night. Can’t wait.

I think a lot are worrying too much about Salah, he disappeared at the old Toilet the other week. Only shocking defending yesterday gave him a goal.

He is good , but .... Scousepool need to worry about City.

The crazy mistakes made recently against the Scousepool will not happen again.

It is great to see that all the noise is coming from Scouse and ex-scouse players/coaches/Program Sellers.

Not one comment to be found from City players, or ex players about Wednesday. They can only print about the comments made for the match against the rags.

Nice to see pep complimenting the efforts of the Scousepool team.

They are worried.

They should be worried.

If i remember correctly most of our many goals v them came from us cutting them open and generally great play, whereas their goals led from silly mistakes they capitalised on well.

It is more likely they are going to get tonked, twice.

And don't forget we didn't have David Silva at Anfield last time out...
Our attacks broke down in just the areas he influences, and he will be the difference this time around.
A side with Silva in there will always be better than a side without him.

And VK will be more assured than Stones was hopefully,
That said, I guess anything can happen

Vinny had a shocker at Anfield in the 4-3 defeat , very unlike him . He has been world class since then and it shows the faith Pep has in him and rightly so .
