This could be Monaco all over again.

Who Pep picks as our centre halves will be key (Otamendi was destroyed by Salah last time) so Vinny and Laporte might be my partnership.

Also, what happens with Mendy's comeback and what's the situation with Delph?

Then we have Raz, especially in the first leg at Anfield. Does he start or might Pep rather go with Bernardo?

That’s not true at all mate. Salah was fairly quiet until that 10 minutes spell where Stones and Ed panicked like fuck.

I’m sick to death of this already, have you all seen some of the crap spouted on social media!

They are even planning on lynching the team bus before it gets to the ground, sad group of people.

Indeed. If they were confident of winning, they wouldn't need all this shit.

Sadsacks. But what else can you expect from scousers?

if you trawled the napoli forums prior to our match at the san paulo, im sure you would have found similar shite about money, history, atmosphere, intimidation etc. look how that turned out for them.

however, pep must NOT allow sterling to play at anfield! if sterling plays, we're down to 10 before kickoff.

I hope Eddie gets a hattrick of assists (with Kun scoring each time) - I'd laugh my socks off.

Think he meant in the home game, where he gave Otter a torrid time - until Klopp through in the towel and dragged him off at half time

Sad but I have to agree with this. Sterling is a wonderful footballer but as yet is easily intimidated.

Maybe as he grows older this will change but for now please leave him on the bench at Enfield.

I think a lot of their behaviour is to do with hatred as we seem to always get the upper hand these days. In 2014 we beat them to the title. In 2016 we beat them in the league Cup final and this year we are 21 points ahead on level games and 8-4 up on aggregate over the 2 league games. I know they spent £75m on a world record fee for a defender but I'm not jealous of their money. We just go about our business without murdering anybody.

We cant bench Sterling every time we go there. Who knows how many more games he will have to play there during the rest of his career 10,15 or more? Sooner rather than later he will need to face up to it and get on with it as a professional.
Pep will and should start him if he is fit.

I'd bench Sterling for this one. He doesn't have to do it every time. But definitely for this one.

I’ve been thinking I’d go with a front three of Sane-Jesus-Bernardo for the away leg.

I’m a big Sterling fan and he’s having a phenomenal season, but playing Liverpool does seem to get to him.

Keeping posession will be key to us nullifying Liverpool’s threat and Bernardo is brilliant at doing that. Dave will be back for this game too and he never loses the ball.

And Jesus up front instead of Aguero. Aguero is having a great season, but Jesus will harrass their defenders non-stop. Liverpool have a poor defence and keeper so we need to force them into as many mistakes as possible.

in games like this it is tactically better to bring Sterling on in the second half to ease past players with tired legs.

Oh, I really hope he does. If I were him and I scored, my celebration would make Adebayor v Arsenal look like Andy Pandy.

I'd run over to Milner, (most probably on their bench) and shout "how many trophies have you fucking won?"

That's the way I see it too.
The more we protect him, the more ammunition we give to his abusers.
He'll shove it back down their throats given the chance.

Hope you're right Patrick, but he has been given the chance and so far has choked.
I'd prefer him i the team to Bernardo, because of the balance it gives to the attack, which frees Sane as much as himself.
But we can't afford to start this game a man down, so it's a dilemma Pep is going to have to solve.

I would have loved to have seen him score a brace at our place to put it to bed, but sadly no.
Maybe a hatrick this time around?
