England's greatest brand of football ever?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

It’s easy to say it but, “One game at a time” should be the rule.
Of course, behind that simple phrase , is a lot of planning, preparation and well, production of results.

It has got so far now that i just want to see city play , so enjoyable.

Last season i was uncertain, now i am happy to let it roll , Pep‘s doin‘ well.

It takes a long, long time to get the .... well you know what i mean. Out of your system.

The answer is yes, absolutely.

The rest of the arguments are about trophies. Different thread maybe there lads?

The premier league has never seen this quality of football being played. If that's not obvious by this stage, it never will be

Yes, agree, people seem intent on answering a different question. Is the most attractive football I have ever seen.

It’s the best football, but if we had Kolarov it’d be even better.

You could well be right Mase; he could have been especially useful in the 'Milkgate' tunnel bust up and Mourinho could have been nursing a broken jaw by now, if he'd been there.

Seriously though, in spite of the summer clear out of players we had, I half expected Kolarov to be retained, at that time, for Pep to work some further magic on him
and, in a way, I wouldn't have been too disappointed if he had stayed.

I honestly don’t think Kola had the bottle for the challenge. To be fair Delph has played very well so he’s not been missed.

Loved the southern Rag telling everybody that we should be good with the €200 million Pep has spent, only for Matterface to say 'So why aren't the Rags playing such scintillating football, and why 14 points behind?'.

Wow. I’m absolutely gobsmacked by the football we are consistently playing week in week out. It really is a privilege to watch what is easily the greatest side this country has ever seen. This team would shit all over the treble winning rags side and the arsenal invincibles. We are witnessing total football here, the likes of which we have never seen. And I still think this squad is a year away from where Pep wants it to be. Phenomenal. It’s fucking amazing being a blue right now!

Followed by the 1982 Brasilians.

We're good, but there's MORE to come.
This is equal to the best we've played since the Lotto win.
But we played as well as this, at times , under Pellegrini.

As I said earlier , zip it, etc. . . .

I was a bit joking, mate.

I agree with that, but I find Milan 89 maybe the best football playing team ever.

Has Doggermore been asked for his thoughts on whether he still thinks Spuds play better football than us. He has been strangely quiet on the subject.

You would be hard pushed to find a team playing so well and creating lots of chances and scoring so frequently on a consistent basis as we have. However, as Rodney said, under Pellegrini in his first season we played some marvellous stuff and IIRC we scored in excess of 150 goals in the season with four players ending up with 20 for the season, unheard of figures.

But there just seems to be a swagger, a sense the players know they are creating history and we are playing with real panache that at the moment no one can live with. You can only play what is front of you and we are doing that week in week out against all sorts
