Other UEFA league games: match week 5

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Other UEFA league games: match week 5

Postby Justified logic » Wed Nov 22, 2017 8:27 am

Listening to talksport this morning you'd think only Liverpool played last night.

I heard a strange thing on talksport during the night when I'd left the radio on. A scouse-supporting scouse reporter from ESPN, I think it was said, was making very light of the Sevilla manager telling his team in the dressing room at half-time that he had cancer. When I say 'very light' I mean he was laughing and joking about it as a drastic way to inspire the team. What a despicable cunt but absolutely par for the course for that horrible club. Anyone know who he'd be?

BBC are covering that team-talk this morning: Eduardo Berizzo: Sevilla coach reveals cancer during draw with Liverpool

Not the best results for us last night. Napoli now have a chance of overtaking WAXTAP if both them and us win the final games. A draw in Naples would have been much better as the final positions would then have been fixed. As it is, WAXTAP will be desperate not to lose to us. Still, if Napoli were to get second place and be drawn against United...

Also, Spurs winning means they'll now top their group and we might be drawn against Real Madrid rather than the team from that group being voided for us.

Nothing you wouldn't expect from red scouse or their hangers on. After all, it's not their fault.
Real and Barca don't inspire terror as they used to, and besides, seeing we're now media darlings, I'm sure that the honest Johns who run UEFA will ensure that the balls are hot and cold and keep us away from their other sweethearts.
And for the benefit of those of us, not in the know/in on the joke, what's WAXTAP all about?

The irony of a Scouser sneering at another team using tragedy as a motivation is not lost on me.

Thinking of watching the Chav's game at 5 but not sure if I can be bothered with the Rags against another minnow club. That Group was about the easiest you could ask for.

Bayern looking very unconvincing away at Anderlecht. And let's not forget, Celtic won 3-0 there earlier in the campaign

Predictably, it's 0-0. But the panellists on BT Sport are at pains to describe how they are dominating and have done everything but score.
