let's face it, sergio is rubbish at pens. i dont think he enjoys them at all. maybe pep should take him out of the firing line and let him focus on scoring goals from open play. but then who should take them? yaya was good but he's not an option anymore. maybe KDB?

Give Ederson a go, I say. I love pen-taking keepers.

keV should be taking them and it's stupid that he isn't. Serge couldn't score in a brothel taking pens and we all know it so why continue? Pep has to get a grip of this cos it could cost us dearly and there's no need for it

Theoretically Silva should be great at penalties. He'd be able to place in the corner without much fuss. KDB another.

But I like a striker to take them.

Whoever got the penalty should take it. Ten minutes penalty practice for everyone at the end of every training session and we'll be ready for penalty shoot-outs.

In the season 1974 when the rags were relegated (happy days) Alex Stepney was their leading goalscorer for a while as he took their pens cos the strikers were wank!

Aguero used to be fantastic at pens, its just a phase ... I'd leave him with the task, he'll score far more that he'll miss

KDB would be my first choice if it's not not Sergio.
I'd be interested in seeing how GabbyJ takes one as well

On commentary they said he has missed 7 of 15. If that is true I wouldn't call that fantastic.

I think Serg has missed 5 of the last 7. The first thing I thought when the peno was given was t wish Yaya was on the field. It is an art. Yaya has never missed a pen in the premier league. I would give the job to Jesus. He scored a very cool peno for us not too long ago at home.

Nor would I if that's the case, I certainly don't remember missing that many! I'd still have him taking them thou. The keeper was nearly a yard off his line yesterday but they don't seem to get pulled up on that nowadays

It was written that he was going to miss last night, said it as soon as pen was awarded. Personally would give him a break from taking them and let Raheem do it. As for Ederson I am sure he would smash the ball so hard it would be a rocket difficult to stop.

I think it was Henry that didn't take penalties he got himself. Not sure if it was a superstition or not.

Missed 8 in his career. Missed 5 of the 12 he's taken in the CL.

I recall Gundy was a top top penalty taker at Dortmund. Scored in that UCL final, I my memory helps me.

KDB taken one missed one.....where has this confidence in him come from?

Yaya Obviously first choice but id stick with Sergio second choice. I dont trust Sterling to take one either so id go Jesus next.
