Centre half grave yard is where we search. Armed with money, to thinks if true it's been turned down at 18 mill tells you how bad our scouting for defenders is. Attacking full backs yes we naked it.. stoppers who cam play abd holding MF players we stink the place out.

There was a City fan on the radio earlier and he said he can't wait to get Evans on the back of his shirt.
"Like all bullies, they've just found out that there is a much bigger guy in town, someone who is richer and more powerful than their worst nightmare. And this smiling Arabic assassin is intent on stealing all the treasures they've nicked off everyone else, and pulverising them into commercial and footballing oblivion as he does so."

If we can get it done over the weekend we'll need extra staff in the City Store Monday before Kick off to service the demand for shirts with Evans on the back. He'll make the £20 mill back in shirt sales

For me, I want the club to win the PL and CL and stay above the Rags in all competitions.
If Jonny Evan could help us do that - then that is ok by me.
I think he will help us. Vinny cannot play every game so we need experienced and steady cover.
Look at how unsteady we were last season. Ederson was flapping a bit again'st Brighton he may need cool heads around him.

For me it would be all the sweeter if we win the PL and/or CL and finish higher that the Rags using an ex Rag to do it.

The main fly in that ointment is that Evans isn't very good.

Wish I could stay as calm as you pal pmsl , very well put btw

He will be one of those who has supported us for 18 months after giving up on the rags .

What a fucking joke .

I know it might be a tough pill to swallow mate, and I know we have every reason to think it's a story to stirr up our fans, but I think this is a legit one.

Sam Lee doesn't just pick up stories floating around and write about them.

I'm gathering he's done his homework, which he has explained a few times on the 93:20 pod.

Mate if this does happen Pep can fuck off ! Tosin SHOULD BE GIVEN A CHANCE not waste millions on a useless ex rag cunt and divide our support , Pep is a cunt of the highest order and our suits should be telling the cunt "no " this can not happen . Everything about this is just wrong no matter how a few are dressing it up it just doesn't wash with die hard blues . YOUTH SHOULD BE GIVEN A CHANCE this is fucking madness just when everything is looking positive and exciting absolute madness decision by people who couldn't give two fucks about the club its history its fans JUST FUCKING MONEY !!!

I am lost - what is the difference between this and say Tevez or Schmeichel?

Tevez was world class and had fallen out with taggart it was a coup by us when we needed world class talent and a poke in the eye for the rags . Schmeichel I was never comforatable with old fat and past it we were a bit of a joke then . Again WE DONT NEED TO DO THIS EVANS THING .

Schmeichel was better than what we had at the time & was unbeaten in Manchester derbies, a record he carried on at City - agree re: Tevez - as for Evans there's never been a point at which I thought he was any good, he will not improve us & looks like a panic buy due to the inept transfer chase for Alves that ended with us being fucked over by Spuds & Monaco

Exactly fuck all principles - the guys would possibly ditch our greatest ever striker, stick with s clown in net and play a 5,th rate passed it rag.

He's in the league of David may, Wes brown, smelling, Jones, cleverly, Fletcher, all the useless jokes we used to piss ourselves at that they got away with because they had taggart and decisions.

I would be against this even if we had thaskin and were going bust let alone the richest club with the best manager. We buy some CB horrors

Well done pal, couldn't have put it better myself.

The best thing about Evans is that he got sent off I the Sick-Swan!

If the club went through with this then it would be a serious misjudgement and something that the will be used against Pep if times get hard.

I think this is going to happen. All outlets are reporting it now, even BBC Sport which usually doesn't report rumours.

I understand we need a centre back with Kompany so injury prone and Stones/Otamendi being a bit crap, but the Evans signing just looks like we're adding a third centre back who is a bit crap.

Perhaps as some articles have mentioned - overpaying for both Walker and Mendy vs. our original plans may have clipped our budget.

I may well be in a vast minority here but I think he can come in and do a decent job. He's better than the current 4th (and probably 3rd, and maybe even 2nd) best CB we have and even 25m isn't too bad in today's market.

I don't hate him as much as usual rags, probably because of the sick swan

For better or worse it's gonna happen I think - here's something to mull over anyway if you haven't read it

Cigar & Slippers Defender..........Why no-one should be surprised that Man City want to buy Jonny Evans

I think its a done deal. City may well have even floated the news early to take the heat out of the anger. Still a piss poor lazy scout who should have clocked Alfie Mawson last year and Dembele when he was at Rennes. They watched both 20 times FFS.150/200 mill Mill for Otter, Mango, Stones and now Ragevans, who is this fooker Ray Charles. Not one worth 15 mill now.
