Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I decided to start a web page covering magic moments of games I have seen over the past 100 years (not quite yet) With the Everton game coming up next Monday I thought I would start with a game City won with ten men back in August 2002. The new web page is -

Excellent, as always. On a side note, were you there for Bert Trautmann's debut and if so what do you remember (if anything)?

I was, 'mirabile dictu', far too young to be there for Bert's debut, being hardly born at the time, but when I saw the thread title, I thought of Perry Como if that helps

First saw Trautmann at Maine Road on Nov 4th 1949 playing for City reserves against Leeds united. Bert Sproston was also paluing for city that day - 4-1 win
I do remember in early December going to Derby to see us thumped 7 nil! A terrible pitch -very muddy. I do have some early 8mm film of him playing and will never forget his special one handed throw out.

Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Thanks for posting KB. This puts me in touch with City history, a City legend.

I was just talking to somebody today about that Everton match and apart from Anelka's wonderful display, the MoM display from Schmeichel. I then went on to lament about us trying to repeat this by signing David Seaman the season after!!

It's one of the things that makes the site - I always look forward to KB's photo histories for the games.

Seconded.
Edit: Just noticed nottsblue seconded it, so I'll third it.
