Are They Doing It Again?

After the last couple of seasons with excessive transfer fees I can't help but think that the Rags are purposely inflating the market for their own means. The question is, why?

I think they are falling so far behind they are getting desperate. The huge sponsorship deals rely on CL qualification and they only just scraped through this year by the back door after missing out altogether the year before. Their fans are getting restless and the rags probably think the best way to placate them is to splash the cash.

I don't think they have an ulterior motive

Cheers fellas, just feels like all those years ago when they could spend more than anybody else, and then did, inflating the market to their own pricing programme.

Spot on. Every time the fees and wages went up, being successful was put out of reach of more clubs.

I seriously think a lot of it is attention seeking.

I'm actually hoping it's out of necessity but looking at it. Pogba send to be a monetary decision but can be classed in the same vein. Di Maria was a little different as they needed him but the likes of Lukaku, a few others, where they forget to include the 25 mil agent fee, have shown a real show of strength money wise.

Put it one way, if usually be screaming about the Walker deal but due to their antics, I thought it was a realistic deal. So glad we've got an 'understanding' board.
