What a class act. This was just sent from the club to a local sunday league player I know. A lad of 35 with two young kids who is fighting some serious cancer. A Liverpool fan, we have had some good banter over the years.

As far as I'm concerned, the man's genius can be summed up by what he's achieved with Delph.
The guy was seen by all as a good to average prem midfielder who everyone expected to end up a journeyman playing at Stoke or Southampton level.
Pep's turned him into a world class left back.
That's some genius.

I really hope he can work his magic on the Mangler.
It's just that he gives me heart palpitations when he's playing, much like Bravo did last season.
Must admit I feared the worst today, but he was really sound.

He's running out of time to turn Mango's water into wine by the end of next month ;)

I was proud of the effort Mangler put in today, he didn't want to let anyone down. I hope it comes good for him (and us).

Has Guardiola's style of play changed radically from his managing Barca days ?

Is the blend of possession with proper crossers of the ball and varied methods of attack, better ( more entertaining ) and more dangerous even than his tik-tak it through the centre... cant cross a ball to save our lives all conquering BCN team ?

I think so.

Radically changed, sure not.

Adjusted to the league demands and blessed by unlimited desire of our Owners, yes.
He now live in Blue Dreamland and is gonna build his benchmark Dream Team to play dream football.

That's an absorbing read with much food for thought and even more to digest.

One tiny morsel, which I found most interesting, was the way it compared Xavi and Iniesta and their roles at Barcelona, with the way Pep has allowed Silva and KDB much more freedom at City, rather than tying them into a more rigid, central midfield requirement.

As I say, it was just a small element but one which I thought was significant and one which characterised Pep's flexible approach to different systems and players.

Thanks for posting that JC; I think it's well worth a second read.

You're right; he's ruining football by the way he now has City playing.

Pep Out.........

People are allowed provoke and wind up, but if you have a go at them, you're a bully. Hmmm...

Anyway, back on topic before someone ends up crying about the good old days - i think pep has had definite brain farts but if you list the matches we were dominated in, there really is a tiny amount. Monaco away, spurs away, 2nd half v Everton away.... possibly one or two more, but we dominate the vast majority of the time.

A few player changes is what's needed though, not for fans to call the manager tactically clueless and want him gone after one season.

Good times ahead

Raped by the officials again and by far the better team on the day yet it's his fault?

You have no clue. Not one.
Maybe it's because they don't love the city?

Or something...

Your sole purpose is to wind people up. You have never given shit about City and you are here only to amuse yourself by winding people up. I remember you giving roy fucking keane a good licking once. Tells all there is to know about you. Fuck off and stick to hurling.
