a nice selection headache for pep this week with willy looking like a goalkeeper, vk fit, jesus hitting the ground running and fern1 back after suspension. i challenge you to pick a starting xi. i gave up....
will be interesting to see how the hammers line up after their recent transfer activity. one thing is for sure, they won't be anywhere near as shit as they were in the cup a few weeks back.
this game will be the start of a 16 game, record breaking winning streak that will see us win the title. you heard it hear first!
come on city!!!!!!!!!

Jesus will keep Leroy & Raheem company again I think. Rumour is we've seen the last of Nacho........ if Aguero is firing.

Bravo as a false one, Clichy as a false footballer and Otamendi as a false beard and eyebrow combination.
Easy.

i wouldn't be surprised by that. He's been shit this season. He needs to play to develop. And i'm not sure he's even really capable of playing Pep's style. He would have been great under Mancini tho. Who knows...if we sell him he will be a world beater, and if we keep him he will be super fucking average. We don't do easy.
cheers

The last two games willy played we looked much more assured, but sadly pep will revert to Bravo. Would like to see Jesus, at least ,on the bench.
Nacho is at the cross roads.

I think we are going to win if we are playing Willy instead of Pennywise.

If Pep continues to play Caballero in the FA Cup, then we have as good a chance as any other team of winning that competition.
If Pep continues to play Bravo in the League; matters become a little more problematical.

Play big Will in the chumps league also. At least Monaco will not score that easy.

No. Seriously. You having a laff?
I agree with you fella. Ridiculous to think Pep has selection headache when even stevie wonder knows Bravo should be nowhere near the pitch when we play. Unless he plays for the opposition of course

I liked Pep's answer in the presser today.
When asked about Fernandihno being sent off three times and should he change his aggressive play, he said;
Fernandihno is not an aggressive player he is an honest player, amongst other things.
He also referenced the Chelsea incident that 'You' meaning the press have written a lot about and he re-emphasised ' a lot'.
He referenced the Burnley incicdent saying he has seen this challenge many times without a player being sent off.
He's looking a lot calmer and getting his digs in at the same time.
I particularly liked the comment about being honest, because he has been pushing this theory that The English are supposed to like that quality, lately.
It points the finger back at the media, the refs and cheating players all at the same time.

I suspect WW was working on the premise that Sergio was injured i.e. before Pep declared him fit in his presser yesterday.....

which makes team selection even harder
going to be very interesting to see who starts from a 95% fit squad

Or maybe the premise Sane has got three in his last three and Jesus looks good so keep the partnership going.

Fair point well made, so you'd rather he start Gabriel over Serg, i see the benefit of the partnership but i struggle leaving Sergio out when he is fit.
In an ideal world i guess we could start with the youngsters and hopefully be a couple up by early second half and then bring Sergio on to finish them off?

This might sound mad but id be tempted to drop Aguero for Jesus. Id play fern silva and kdb in the three in the middle. Drop Yaya.
The back five will pick itself with vinny on the bench one would imagine and Bravo starting so
Bravo
Sagna Otamendi Kolarov Clichy (what a shit back 5!)
Fernandinho
SIlva KDB
Sterling Sane
Jesus

Really difficult to predict with any degree of certainty what will happen with this team, just when we look good and hitting form, all of a sudden things can go to shit. But reasonably confidant for tonight. Fern back should be a big help. This is a game we need to win. But no clean sheet 1-2.
