No, but a guy who has been at the club for nearly a decade who is a leader. And its not as if his replacement has proved any better. It was the fact he was replaced.

Ronaldinho was still a top player when was dispensed with though

Ronaldinho was dispensed with due to his partying antics which Pep felt would be a bad influence on the emerging Messi and other younger members of the squad. He hardly puled up any trees since leaving Barca did he?

I think he has found the PL and all that goes with it much more demanding that he thought, both on the field with the opposition and the officiating and off it with the media barrage

I really think he is angry, but is he a quitter just yet? I really hope not. "Demanding" as in everyone hates us?

I really believe he will persevere and silence all these mfers.

He literally says, “It is always our fault. It’s always City’s fault."

How about that?

His implication that the team "with more ball possession" gets "a player sent off" also suggests the refs might try to make the games "closer" with more calls against someone like us is what I am referring to. I think those are both a pretty clear "hint, hint."

Don't be obtuse. Everyone knows the refereeing can't be explicitly criticised by managers else there will be game ban penalties.

Joe Hart is nowhere near the level of player Aguero is

I don't think notts is disputing that. I think he's basically saying that pep will do what he wants he has a plan, he has a vision for what he wants and no player is too big to get in his way. Looking at Aguero he could have played the Celtic home game immediately after receiving a 4 game ban in the prem (and would have done under pellegrini) but pep didn't.

Yesterday pep dropped Aguero from the starting 11. No other city manager would have done that, I've always felt that Aguero was the one player who seemingly decided whether he played or not.

That and the fact Aguero has misfired by his standards this season would tell me also that it is feasible that Aguero won't necessarily be in peps long term plans. I'm not saying he isn't I'm saying pep won't shy from the decision, basically if he thinks someone else can do a better job of doing what he wants he will make the change whoever you are.

If anything, he is the exact player to do so having missed four matches. He also said he mainly scores goals for the team. Very true but you get the impression he is not happy with his overall game also having alluded to this earlier in the season when he said he wanted to improve him further

Sadly, i think it will be when Aguero is sold rather than if

I have to disagree with both of your posts, NB. Guardiola will not quit (he's as stubborn as they come and loves a fight) and Aguero is an injury waiting to happen so it didn't surprise me that he was left out. However, your point about Aguero not being here much longer seems to be one shared by lots of blues.

I think the fact that Aguero and Silva were brought on at half time just shows they are 2 of the most indispensable players who were being rested - probably it seems now with an eye on Friday's game.

If so it's good news that he values the FA Cup, but sad that he couldn't rest them without the most of rest of the team playing like a bunch of cunts first half.

If Aubameyang (sp?) became available and we went for him, Aguero would be sold. I don't think his overall game has been that good for the last 18 months and his work rate is nowhere near what level Pep would want.

City's second game in two days and some of you are trying to draw conclusions from players being rested? Get a grip. Like John said, look who he turned to in the second half.

Pep would play 11 midfielders if he could.

Agustin could be so much better than he is and that's probably what frustrates Pep and all of us. He deserved to be dropped after the Liverpool game based on performance.

thank you for answering the question. i didnt hear that part of the interview.
i thought you were referring to his quip about there being diff rules in the PL than other leagues regarding fouls on the keeper.

Only just seen this, also saw the clips of pep going mad at the bell stand, asking them to sing. As kev did in the second half. Bang on.

FYI to those players - do you know we are actively being banned for this?

Just penned a lengthy email to the club. Will pop over to bluemoon to see if anybody has any real contacts for face to face meets.

Now I'm reading he's already planning his retirement?

Just what I wanted to hear from the manager 6 months into his new job with City.

Why fall for the media bull? He said before he's 60 and that he may well stay longer with us in the same interview.
