CITY: Showsec, Atmosphere & Bullying

Message for City, the club, officials, Pep, Kev and all the players, staff who send us constant emails about ''trying to generate atmosphere''

How about SHOWSEC, employed by THE CLUB, stop targeting individual fans for standing up, in .a block that is considered STANDING, and ban them.

My Dad (60's) Got 'escorted' to the concourse by about 12 showsec ****s with 2 x police, for standing up, despite ME, my mates, and the full row all standing up for the last circa 5 years in the same seats.

1) Showsec admitted -we only target the quiet games (in response to the full 3 early rows of Belgium fans standing up at Arsenal)

2) are told to pick out certain people.

3) The police quoting ''we agree with you, we could do without this, but the steer is from the club.''

4) Its health and safety apparently that 110, 109 can't stand, but 111 can. Ok... sense made.

5) targetting ''older'' city fans, who the showsec women feel 'safe' to 'escort' out. Two 80 year old lads were banne today, well into the second half, despite every single row all around standing up. SHOWSEC: you are bullies. Targetting vulnerable fans, who will not ''fight back''. This is a joke, is harassment, and is against their human rights.

6) As showsec senior staff admitted, they target ''certain'' games. This is so that they can resell the Spurs games for c. £80 for tourist fans. A joke, and is blatant racketeering.

At the end of the day, its a joke, and I'm tempted not to renew. They pick and choose when to kick off (showsec) and it doesn't help when tourist city fans in front don't stand up to 'stand up if you love city', yet on ''so called big games'' theres no issue as A to ZZ are stood up.

We can't move to 111 (that showsec admit is safe standing, despite one seat away being a 'health and safety hazard' and there actually being no safe standing in England. The demand outstrips supply. Blues want to stand up and support the team. There is countless blocks and stands where people want to sit in silence. Thats fine. But respect our right to carry on and support the team.

Its poor form for the club to continue ignoring fans, despite painting this image of the ''peoples club'' which died several years ago.

You want a full stadium, yet attempt to ban loyal supporters.

If you want empty stadiums, apart from a handful of 'big games' and champions league knock out games, then continue. I know its all about revenue but at the end of the day, the loyal fans turning up, come rain or snow, home, away, spending money on drinks are what you need to recognise. If not, fair enough - tell the players and the managers who crave a good atmosphere, and put up with a half empty ground - at the expense of the scousers, rags.

Carry on and its an away season ticket for me.

CTID, **** Showsec mercenaries, and the club for turning a blind eye and ''supporting'' this bullying.

I dont get it, how can a block be considered 'Safer Standing' and another block not? There's no such thing as 'Safe Standing' as far as I'm aware.

They're bullies mate, ShowSec are full of Rag cunts who no longer have the upper hand. Childish litlptle cunts who if you're in the right, cower like the cunts they are but if they've got a shred of anything will use anything in their power, usually the Police, to force their issue. However, the policy is driven by others, not quite the club, more the cunts who have forced the regulations on us. And as far as I'm concerned, webseem the only ones who get the full brunt of their infantile crusade.

We think football is all about the players and fans, we couldn't be more mistaken when it comes to the eyes of the powers that be.

Stewards standing up...I'm on Row A and the steward stood up directly blocking my view of the goal with about 10 minutes left, the end we were defending. I asked him to move. He couldn't as he was clearly working to rules. I pay for a seat and a view.

Think it was Bingo that mentioned Showsec followed him in to the toilets and threw him out because they thought he was smoking.

It's well known that half of them are rags. I've been walking out of the stadium after the match and some of them have been stood there openly taking the piss out of our fans because we've lost.

Surely the club can employ security directly rather than outsourcing it.

Whenever there is an issue you have to report it to the club, they do.

@Mase totally agree - all rags. The 'new' skin head woman made a point of saying ''its YOUR club doing this''.

How do we contact the club? Empty emails to the same muppet who used to get these years ago?

No, ban me and I'll turn up to the training ground daily, banners, the lot, Sort it. Its ''bad for business'' city.........

At the Barca match, a little arsewipe steward deliberately blocking our view and in response to being politely asked to move aside said, 'Is it because you're losing?'. It was 0-1 and we were causing trouble by wanting to see the actual penalty area at a corner. He spent the rest of the game staring us down. We are 2 middle aged couples, pure violence and threat, obviously.

That said, I doubt he'd stare people down outside the ground where there is no threat of ejection, the little gobshite.

Email mancity@mancity.com to complain.

We had a full on discussion with stewards and police today and they told us it's the control room with the cameras that radio the head stewards and control who gets targetted. Whether that's true or not I have no idea. But the fella next to me was thrown out today for standing up. There is no consistency and the bullshit health and safety excuse is a joke. When pressed they have no idea what health and safety issues it is contravening. The club want an atmosphere and beg for backing and then carry on like nazis to the passionate fans.

Sick and tired of how pathetic the stewarding is when the away fans can do whatever they want without having anything said.

People at the Club complain about the atmosphere, but these bullying c**ts are partly responsible for the shit atmosphere; fans are terrified to stand up, open up their Lungs and go for it, for fear of being snatched and ejected. What is the obsession with going after people standing up. I find Japanese tourists flashing away much more irritating.I bet we have all been asked to take photographs of tourists for them. We need our soul back, Kippax, North Stand type area. Surely the time has arrived for limited standing areas at Football grounds.

This is fairly appalling. I had no idea fans were treated like this...
If you removed those who stood and screamed over here there wouldn't be NFL games; the stadiums would be completely empty. I don't understand, is it a safety concern because of some stadium tragedy? It seems so extreme...

This is the standard reply to a complaint made to the club about the pathetic stewarding. They didn't address any of the points raised but just gave a standard email response.

Thank you for your email.

In answer to your question, the Etihad Stadium is a seated venue and as such every person who attends is required to sit in their seat. Standing is not tolerated in any part of the ground as it poses a severe Health and Safety risk. Measures are taken to try and ensure that all persons attending remain seated and anyone who persistently stands within the stadium has been written to and further action taken if deemed necessary.

When people stand, it impedes the match day experience for others around them who may not be able to view the match they have paid for.

It poses a Health and Safety risk, particularly in the higher tiers as there is the risk of people falling and potentially going over the edge.

We will not be implementing a policy which allows people to stand.

I hope this answers your query
